Ploi flags two common production slips on the site page: composer install without --no-dev in your deploy script, and APP_DEBUG=true in your .env 🔍 Click Fix it for me and Ploi corrects it for you.
Building an app where every customer gets a subdomain? 🌐 Tick Allow wildcard subdomains under Advanced settings when you create the site, and Ploi serves every subdomain from it. Wildcard SSL works through your DNS provider, like Cloudflare or Route 53.
The Forgejo update 🚀
Starting today, Forgejo is a source control provider alongside the other three, and it works the same way they do 🥰
Not every site starts from a git repository 📦 Open a new site in Ploi and install WordPress, Nextcloud, Statamic, Craft CMS, Matomo or phpMyAdmin with one click, or deploy your own code from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Forgejo.
Ploi now supports Forgejo as a source control provider, so Codeberg, self-hosted Forgejo and Gitea all work 🔗 Link it under Profile › Source control with your instance URL and an access token, then deploy from it like any other git provider.
Want a deploy to go out at 23:00 without being online? 🌙 Click the calendar icon on a site, pick a date and time, and Ploi runs it for you. With Rollback on failure, Ploi returns to the last commit that deployed successfully if it fails.
You can import a server from Laravel Forge, ServerPilot or RunCloud into Ploi 🚚 Same machine, same IP, no DNS change. Ploi scans it over SSH and brings over the sites, databases, certificates, cronjobs and firewall rules. Servers › Create server › Import server.
Every site in Ploi can get a test domain 🧪 Click Enable test domain in the site settings and preview it on a URL like radiant-star-g9tnrhyc9y.ploi… before the real DNS is pointed. ploi.si is the newest domain in the pool.
Restoring database backups just got smarter! 💡
We've added the ability to restore to the current database, or create a fresh one so you can keep your original one 👏
Also, it is now possible to download database backups that have been made with Google Drive (more coming soon) 🥳
New in the Ploi API 🛠️ Manage notification channels on your database and file backups, and download a site's certificate chain to use on other systems. The private key never leaves your server.
New servers in Ploi now default to Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. Ubuntu 22.04 is gone from the create page, so are MySQL 8.0, MariaDB 11.2 and PostgreSQL 13 and older. MySQL 9 now installs the 9.7 LTS series. Existing servers keep running as they are.
WordPress sites on Roots Bedrock now work with every WordPress tool in Ploi. Ploi detects the web/wp core directory, so plugins, themes, search and replace, the WP-CLI console, cronjobs and clones all work. Override the core directory if your fork moved it.
As of today, you may quickly switch the PHP version for your site directly from the sidebar, quick and easy! 👏
New in Ploi: browser push notifications. Pick Browser push as a notification channel, allow it once, and failed deploys, unreachable sites and stopped services pop up on your desktop. Each browser is its own channel. No app needed, only the browser has to be open.

I (finally) got browser push notifications coming for @ploi_deploy 😊
Whoah! This is so cool 😎
I created a TUI application for @ploi_deploy
If you're using ploi.io and want a quick way to manage your servers from the terminal, give it a shot!
As of today you may set up sustained notifications for server monitoring 💡
This allows brief expected spikes without getting unnecessary notifications ✅
