Voluntary ethics is not working in Congress or in the Supreme Court. Time for actual laws to prevent egregious behaviors, including blatant conflicts of interest.
NEW: According to the New Yorker, Clarence Thomas' wife Ginni works with groups that are directly involved in SCOTUS cases. Shouldn't he have to recuse?

Why has Trump been pleasing Putin so much lately? Trump is in office to solve Putin’s problems, and Putin has a lot of problems right now. Pay close attention to what happens over the next few weeks.

A 65-year-old man was pinned beneath a car, screaming for help for 90 minutes, but nobody heard him. With broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, and his strength fading, he began to believe he was going to die. Then he prayed for God to send someone, gathered enough strength for one final scream, and something extraordinary happened. It happened in Sumter, South Carolina. Allen Clemmons had been working beneath his Ford Mustang when it slipped off its supports and came crashing down on him. Unable to move and struggling to breathe, he spent the next hour and a half desperately calling for help. As his strength faded, Allen prayed for one more chance to be heard. That final cry reached a 9-year-old boy playing nearby. Malachi Coffey followed the sound and discovered Allen pinned beneath the vehicle. Realizing how serious the situation was, he stayed beside the injured man and listened carefully to his instructions. Allen guided Malachi to a car jack and told him where to position it. The little boy began pumping the handle, slowly raising the vehicle until enough pressure was lifted for Allen to breathe more easily. Malachi then ran to get additional help. Allen survived despite suffering serious injuries. He later called Malachi his guardian angel, believing God had answered his desperate prayer through a little boy who happened to be nearby. Malachi was honoured for his bravery, but what makes this rescue so remarkable is that a nine-year-old boy accomplished something that saved a man’s life when nobody else could hear his cries. Sometimes answered prayers arrive in the smallest, most unexpected ways. This young hero deserves to be celebrated.

As Trump scapegoats Somalis in a desperate play for the dregs of midterm voters, today is a good day to remember that his "Senior Advisor for Western Hemisphere Affairs" is an out eugenicist burrowed into the govt like a WCN Lyme tick. open.substack.com/pub/americ…

There are some essential things that are often overlooked. I’ve noticed that there are a number of people who seem to hold the mistaken belief that money can buy anything & everything. Consequently, that more money can buy even more of anything & everything. But, intuitively I just know that there are many things that cannot be bought. In fact, there are many essential things that are absolutely void of any monetary value or measurement. Can you help me list these? I’ll start with TRUTH. You cannot buy the truth. It simply exists. You can pay someone to tell it, or not. But, it doesn’t change the truth. What else simply can’t be bought?

This is Monica Alba. The reporter from NBC on whom DT lashed out today when she questioned him about defending Vivek Ramaswamy’s ad. Thank you for not backing down and relentlessly confronting him about this. This is exactly how the media should continue to push him. Thank you for your incredible work.

AOC: One of the things that I find mind-boggling is that whenever we want to expand health care in this country, Medicare in this country, education, everyone’s first question in Washington is: How are we going to pay for this? Yet every single year, the United States Congress rubber-stamps trillions and trillions of dollars in current and expanded spending without anyone asking at all: How are we going to pay for this? By the way, the Pentagon has continued to fail every audit. They are paying for it with your health care and lack thereof. So it’s about time that we flip the equation and start asking, How can we afford war after war after war?

The US is the host and Israel is the tapeworm sucking the nutrients off our democracy
The U.S. has over the past three years spent $11 BILLION in taxpayer money on missile defense for Israel. It has fired more interceptors defending Israel than Israel has. That is not a symbiotic relationship. It is a parasitic one.

🚨 Trump called @GovTimWalz - a governor, veteran & dad - a "retard." Disgusting slur from a draft-dodger who never served! 💙 Hope Walz nailed it: "My dad is everything Trump will never be." Class, service & decency vs. hate, cruelty & cowardice! 👏
