Bringing Kenyan coffee onchain for farmers @ProjectMochaHQ | @EFDevcon Scholar '25 🇦🇷 |@PerplexityAi Business Fellow '25 | My thoughts on ReGen, AgriTech, RWA

Devconnect Argentina was more than just another crypto conference for me. It was a real vote of confidence from the @ethereumfndn in someone trying to connect smallholder coffee farmers in Kenya with the onchain economy through @ProjectMochaHQ . As a 2025 DevConnect Scholar, I carried a suitcase full of Kenyan coffee to Buenos Aires, spent the week learning inside the RWA, Regen, and DeSci community hubs, and got to share our Mocha journey with the Scroll ecosystem while finally meeting fellow Scroll DAO delegates IRL. I walked away with three things: deeper gratitude to EF for designing a scholar experience that centers people over hype, a stronger human network that stretches from and a clearer mission to keep building farmer‑aligned real‑world assets and to show up as a steward, not just a beneficiary. Shout out to @youfoundperrie , @OrnellaWeb3 and the entire @EFDevcon team Find my full reflection here: paragraph.com/@pmprojectz/re…

The economy grew. Your tap is still dry. Now what? GDP can tell us that an economy became bigger. It cannot tell us whether people have water, decent work, functioning cities or healthy ecosystems. A thread on Doughnut Economics, Kenya and a different way to think about African growth. 🧵

And this changes how we think about nature. Soil is infrastructure. A watershed is infrastructure. Pollinators are agricultural infrastructure. Forests and healthy rangelands are productive assets. We have an odd habit of recognising their economic value only after they stop working.

Africa is still building much of the infrastructure that will define life in 2050. That may be one of our biggest advantages. We can build more without designing tomorrow's repair bill today. GPT-6 Astra is here, but for African businesses the real question isn’t how it scores on AI benchmarks. It’s what your team can now confidently hand over to ChatGPT that you couldn’t before. The biggest opportunity is better multi-step work, stronger instruction-following, and more leverage for small teams. I shared a few thoughts on what this could mean for African businesses using ChatGPT Business: lnkd.in/p/dzZwcUcV

I built my own personalised CRM for all the business cards I collect at networking events. Now I just take a photo of the card and ChatGPT Work does the rest: extracts the contact details, organizes them and adds them to my database. And because it’s linked to my Gmail, it also helps me keep track of conversations and follow-ups. Small thing, but it saves me a lot of admin. What cool things are you guys building with @ChatGPT Work?

1/ Technology is only as good as the last mile it reaches. We’re seeing massive leaps in AI-driven game dev and coding, but the real "vibe check" for innovation is how we apply these same logic frameworks to smallholder farming. 🧵

2/ Instead of complex manual inputs, imagine satellite-driven crop monitoring paired with simple, natural language AI interfaces. It’s about building tools that farmers can interact with as easily as they use WhatsApp.

3/ My focus as a builder remains on abstraction. If we can "vibe code" a game prototype in minutes, we can build agricultural advisory agents that translate satellite data into actionable localised farming insights. Let’s ship the tech that actually feeds the planet. #AgriTech
