Did Zach Ertz work his way back from a torn ACL just to sit on Philadelphia’s practice squad as a healthy inactive for two games at 35-years old?
I don’t think so and I have a theory about why Ertz is sticking around and acting like a good soldier.
The NFL trade deadline is approaching and many expect the Eagles to be sellers by November 10.
Eagles starting TE Dallas Goedert is on an expiring contract and he’s already been listed as a potential trade candidate.
What if Philadelphia’s front office told Ertz to sit quietly and wait his turn while they work to move Goedert by the trade deadline?
Once the Eagles trade Goedert for a 2027 fifth-round pick or whatever, they can sign Ertz to the 53-man roster and distract fans with his chase for the franchise’s all-time receptions record to sell tickets during a miserable season.

BREAKING: Wood sent for lab testing from Noah’s Ark Durupinar Site.
We’re excited to finally share this official update from the lead archeological professor Dr. Cenker Atila:
Multiple pieces of wood have been recovered from the Noah’s Ark Durupinar Site and are now in the lab for carbon-14 dating.
The wood is damaged and charred. This could be from an attempt to set fire to the ark at some point in history, or from volcanic activity in the area long ago.
While the depth at which it was recovered indicates it is very old, Dr. Cenker is clear: this is not proof that it is Noah’s Ark until the carbon-14 results are in.
One interesting note: charred wood decomposes far more slowly than uncharred wood, especially when buried in soil.
Wood has officially entered the conversation.
