We are watching the pro-life establishment, particularly @KristanHawkins, attempt to redefine abolitionism right before our eyes. This is next-level gaslighting. I would almost call it a Jedi mind trick. The strategy is becoming pretty obvious. Step 1: Stop ignoring abolitionists as their message begins to gain traction, and start claiming you have always been an abolitionist yourself. Step 2: Invent the illogical categories of “Premature Abolitionists” and “Permanent Abolitionists.” Step 3: Convince the entire pro-life movement they have always been abolitionists, despite consistently promoting maternal immunity in pro-life legislation, ensuring abortion is never fully outlawed. Step 4: Demonize the “radical premature abolitionists” to destroy their credibility. Accuse them of the very things you yourselves are doing. This reminds me of the manipulation you see in an abusive relationship, where the offender convinces the victim that they are somehow responsible for the very abuse being inflicted upon them. Rather than defend their failing strategy, they are attempting to redefine abolitionism, claim the label for themselves, and discredit those who have consistently demanded immediate and equal protection under the law for all preborn children.
Imagine calling yourself an abortion abolitionist while campaigning on the SAME SIDE as Planned Parenthood. You can’t make this up. In Missouri, premature abolitionists are fighting AGAINST Amendment 3, which would save thousands of babies because it isn’t “perfect enough for them.” Next Tuesday, it’s a BINARY choice: vote “yes” to kick abortion for any reason OUT of Missouri’s Constitution or vote “no” to keep abortion legal. Every baby created in God’s image that we can save matters. Triage is not unbiblical. kristanhawkins.substack.com/…

No amount of editing changes the reality of what's at stake: codifying exceptions and gestational limits into state law isn't "saving babies" - it is establishing statutory permission to execute the ones who don't qualify. You can keep repeating the word "triage," but triage in medicine means doing what you can with limited resources - it does not mean signing a law declaring that the children you couldn't reach are legally permissible to kill. When you support legislation that permits some children to be killed so long as others are spared, you aren't doing "biblical triage" - you are codifying iniquity into law (Isaiah 10:1). In practice and effect, SFLA exists to regulate the slaughter; abolitionists exist to end it.

On Monday I will be writing on my Substack the bulk of my testimony. The abuse I suffered from the Roman church as a boy. Growing up homosexual. Marriage and fatherhood while living a double life without God. Prison. Salvation. Freedom. substack.com/@tedraymond

There is no moral difference between aborting a baby and drowning a baby in the bathtub.

Many others and I are gladly fighting every day to take away your “right” to slaughter your unborn baby! Abortion will be abolished in this country!

What does Texas Alliance for Life and James Talarico have in common? They both believe that abortion should be completely legal for the mother of the child.

I hold the moderate stance on abortion. I affirm that abortion should be criminalized as murder for everyone who is willfully involved.

If you work in the pro-life movement and have been advocating for total legal immunity for mothers, so did I at one time. And then I repented of that sin, Christ forgave me, and now I’m seeking to walk in obedience to Him. You can do that too! Don’t harden your heart.

If we want to love our preborn neighbors as ourselves, we must criminalize abortion.

Legislators, you can’t support abolishing abortion while simultaneously supporting IVF.

Not to mention, this letter has been used to lobby against equal protection/justice bills for the preborn in other states like Missouri, Kentucky & North Dakota: centerforbaptistleadership.o… SBC, are we okay with the @ERLC using our CP funds for this?
