Viktor is preparing some bread dough in the kitchen while Jayce sits at the dining table, mulling over some notes. Luna naps in a nearby cradle. It's calm, peaceful. That serenity is broken when the back door flings open and shuts abruptly.

Luna is over four months old now. Hard to believe it's been that long. It simultaneously feels like it's gone by in the blink of an eye as well.

It's been quiet in the house ever since Viktor woke up. Neither he or Jayce have talked. Things are awkward but he powers through it by tending to Luna. She's wrapped to his chest while he's finalizing the design he made when his partner enters the room.

Viktor scribbles away at a possible mechanism him and Jayce could make. It's an uneventful afternoon, Luna is napping in the living room cradle and Jayce has been pacing around the cottage. He only ever does that when he's bothered. "Jayce, Miláček, what is the matter?"

Viktor and Jayce are lounging in the living room on the couch. Elena is pacing around the cottage, Luna in tow. When she re-enters the living room she halts by the front door. "I think your little one could use some sunlight," she states, "Is it alright if I take her outside?"

Entry 16 I had almost forgotten about this diary. I suppose it makes sense, so much has happened journaling has not exactly been a priority. Much has happened but the most important is that our daughter's name is Luna. I have grown incredibly fond of her. Jayce calls it love, I suppose it is. She did not come to us under ideal circumstances but I want to do right by her. I want her to have a good life. I never want her to worry about her next meal or struggle to stay warm at night. I wish to give her a life better than I ever had. Much of the last month has been a matter of survival and safety so I haven't had much time to think on things. More than anything I hope I do not mess this up. Jayce has been my rock throughout this all. I do not believe I would be here without him. I need him. I cannot imagine life without him, and I do not want to.

While Jayce has been handling the runes for the house Viktor is working on something for Luna. He's spent the last day or so hand embroidering the cancelation runes into small patches that can be attached to Luna's clothes, in case the house ones fail.

Now that the are spending more time in their actual house, Jayce has begun creating more of their protection runes and hanging them around the ground floor. He has half a mind to just carve them into the corners of the wood, but hopes that this doesn't become a permanent problem.

Urel and Elena are here with their children. The little ones will not be staying the night but appear to be having fun outside. Elena brought many homemade jams I am looking forward to trying.

Living in the rest of the cottage feels like they are in a mansion now. Viktor reasons being confined in such a small space for so long will do that. Elena has been helping them get situated while Urel went back into town to gather supplies and their kids.
