Terrible, terrible news - brilliant correspondent, wonderful person. RIP Kim, you’ll be missed
This is terrible news, just 68. Kim was a remarkable and intrepid correspondent. I don’t think anyone matched his score of around 30 embeds with British troops in Afghanistan. And he did so much more, notably in Syria. The ultimate quiet professional independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho…

The message here is support your UNION...Don't cross a picket line scumbags..
Host Jimmy Kimmel honors people who work behind the scenes in the film industry “for standing with us” during recent Hollywood strikes. “I’m gonna make sure this show goes really long tonight so you get a ton of overtime.” #Oscars #Oscars2024 gma.abc/49Gpw50

This is a spiteful attack on workers everywhere from a party that has run out of options & will soon be run out of office. We will not stand by while Tory MPs try to force our members to cross their own picket lines. And the whole movement will be with us.
University students are being let down by relentless strikes We want to end this disruption and the resulting impact on their education So today, I’m announcing that we will consult to introduce minimum service levels in universities so students get the teaching they deserve

She assumes that students don't support their lecturers standing up for fairer pay.. When can we boot this evil rightwing Tory government out? #ToriesUnfitToGovern

I would like to mark the sad resignation of Nadine Dorries by fondly recalling the historic occasion on which she learnt how the television station she was planning to sell was funded, live on air.

Just finished @BBCNewsnight - I hope I did you proud. Thank you to all these students who backed us on air as well. Legends.

There is a reason why we won't ever supply intern students to @GBNews. And it isn't just the anti-migrant, anti-trans hate or racism, it's how they treat their own staff. You can stop emailing us now. @aasiyalodhi @TheAJEUK #GBNews

Still amateur hour at #GBNews, I see. 😁 When will the lights go out for the final time? Barb data suggests ratings aren't anywhere close to their targets.
Total disarray in the GB News studio, as the lights quite literally go out on Dan Wootton, a sign of things to come? 👀

See you in court..
This is absolutely shameful @SOAS. We cannot allow employers to brutalise their staff as punitive pay deductions plunge them into further debt. It’s time @UCEA1 listen to our demands and #SettleTheDispute. #ucuRISING

This is so powerful. Students are finishing university with TBC instead of grades and staff are still receiving punitive salary deductions. The bosses could have ended this dispute well before graduations. This is all on you, @UCEA1. #ucuRISING

Honestly, if UCEA return to the table on the terms proposed by @ucu, I would absolutely vote for an immediate end to the MAB. I want it to end, I want our students to get their marks, and I want to put this painful, gruelling period firmly in the past. #settlethedispute

Yes, it really has come to this.. #ucuRISING
Graduating is a privilege I never thought I’d be able to achieve and despite not graduating with a classification I was at least able to take a stand and protest the decisions the uni and UCEA have taken. Universities need to #settlethedispute and renegotiate with @ucu now.

I'm with Barry...Local MP for Westminster University in Brent / Harrow.. xitter.cf/ucu/status/16537309667…
A brilliant message of support for university staff from @BarryGardiner💥    'Staff are still going in, they're still lecturing and supporting students. But employers want to cut all of their wages. No wages. That's not fair'
Withdraw the deduction threats, now!   #ucuRISING

The @UniWestminster Harrow campus, where I work, is in @BarryGardiner’s constituency. At least he recognises the value of the work we do, even if @peter_bonfield seems not to. Please withdraw the threat of 100% deductions and take this dispute seriously, Professor Bonfield.
