๐ฑโ๏ธ๐Following a more than 2 year negotiation, #LUCELEC has officially acquired 70 acres of land at Troumassee, Micoud for the development of a planned 10 MW solar farm with battery storage.
The project, expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2028, will offset the use of approximately 1.2 million gallons of imported fuel each year, helping to reduce Saint Luciaโs exposure to fluctuations in global fuel prices.
The land purchase was finalized on October 23, 2026 and represents another major milestone in LUCELECโs renewable energy journey, building on the success of the companyโs 3 MW solar farm at La Tourney, Vieux Fort, commissioned in 2018.
