Saturday Busking. We definitely had a few good moments. I don’t know why we chose to record this one. This whole thing started over a year ago when I found the drummer on craigslist. He and I have been jamming ever since, and then we added harp, bass, vocals.

Happy Monday! "November's Fire" - Samhain. Slightly niche. Love the album, but Damien's guitar tone is... uh... not great
On this day in North Carolina history October 26, 1895.
North Carolina helped change football forever, and it happened because a desperate player broke the rules.
UNC was playing Georgia in Atlanta when fullback Joel Whitaker faced a Georgia rush that threatened to block his punt. Instead of kicking the ball, he threw it forward to teammate George Stephens.
Stephens caught it and ran 70 yards for a touchdown.
Georgia's coach, legendary Pop Warner, protested. The forward pass was illegal, but the referee never saw the throw. The touchdown stood, and UNC won 6 to 0.
The forward pass wouldn't become legal until 1906.
Think about that the next time you watch a quarterback throw a touchdown. A play that helped shape modern football started with a desperate decision by a Tar Heel.
North Carolina history is full of stories like this one. 🏈

The other interesting thing about this game is that Dr. J and Moses Malone would face each other just four days later in Houston, after Malone got traded there. Both had markedly better performances. It was the first time that they seemed acclimated to the NBA.

Following up on my state of Ecom, let's talk cost of growth, the cost of bringing in 3rd parties, software, or even internal hires with the promise of increasing revenue. How do you make that decision?

Homebuyer demand is setting new record lows with each passing month.
However, these 15 counties are defying the odds and still experiencing surging value growth.
They're a combination of dense AI boom areas (SF County) to go along with wealthy NYC suburbs (Westchester, Bergen).
Disproportionately, the highest growth counties are wealthy, with high home values and big downpayments.
Combined with a general lack of available supply, home values are still suring in these areas, even with 7.5% rates.

I asked Derek Trucks about how he and the Family Guitar guys celebrated winning the auction for Jerry Garcia’s Tiger guitar back in March.
Trucks told me that they were going to go out for drinks after the gavel on the winning $11.56m bid, but he got a call from his wife Sue to come over to Cyndi Lauper’s house for a homemade Italian dinner. He couldn’t pass that up, understandably…
