12 mph wind at your back vs 12 mph wind in your face in a green side bunker. I contend that the difference is negligible but golf announcers paint it as if it is a big advantage hitting into the wind. Peltz is gone, but he would be just the guy to test my theory.
23 years ago - Tom Scavuzzo, AJ Allodi, Cortez Forte, Grant Johnson and Jim Maley’s LT Basketball Team beat Proviso East which included 3 Big 10 starters, two of which were NBA draftees in the Sectional Championship. This is the last time LT won a Sectional Championship.
Said it before and I’ll say it again. Football coaches are confusing the concept of extending a game with increasing the probability of winning…they are often NOT the same.
They are underestimating the contingent probability of scoring the td GIVEN that you have driven it all the way down.
So many football teams play a season and never really know where they stand……When you make it to the quarterfinals, you are measuring yourself against the best…only a few get to do that.
Watching the college football games last night I couldn’t help but be impressed…In my day it took teams 3 games to be full tilt…teams today are full tilt game one !
In Girls Bball, LT 58 McAuley 37 in the Sectional Semi-Final. Student section calls Principal Tyrrell over…Tyrrell proceeds to come over and Rock Out !! Sectional Championship 7:00 Thursday.
As a former center, I like watching centers. If you want to see a great one, watch Iowa’s center. Strong, quick, mean, finishes…most complete package I’ve ever seen.
LT Class of 2020 - It was great getting to know you. Good luck in all that you do. Remember, there is no SUBSTITUTE......for hard work!
