Consistency over anything!
Michael Phelps went six years without missing a day of training. 365 days a year. Christmas morning, New Year's, Thanksgiving. People assume I made him do that. It was the other way around. 🧵

Funny how some people make their intial fortunes in software and then turn around and tell everyone to “fuck software” and build something real. Plenty of people building incredible things in hardware started out in software themselves. Never understood why we have to shit on one to appreciate the other.
fuck software. build something real. learn CAD. visit factories. talk to machinists. get your hands dirty. read old engineering textbooks. understand physics. take things apart. wonder how they work. build a drone. crash it. try again. feel stupid. ask questions. learn to weld. smell burning metal. respect the shop floor. admire precision. fall in love with machines. study the history of aviation. read about ISRO. understand why nations go to war. think about sovereignty. visit a shipyard. watch a rocket launch. get goosebumps. make friends with engineers. listen to old people. learn from their mistakes. spend a night in a workshop. forget what day it is. miss a deadline. keep going. learn patience. embrace uncertainty. stop making pitch decks. make something you can hold. understand supply chains. visit small towns. find people who care about their craft. pay them well. build trust. obsess over things nobody notices. hear an engine start for the first time. celebrate with your team. fail in public. study metallurgy. learn how satellites work. visit an airbase. understand geopolitics. question conventional wisdom. read about failed missions. think in decades. be unreasonable. believe your country can build great things. make things that outlive you. manufacture the future.

"All social networks are optimized for validation"
one critical thing ppl often don't realize about social networks is that the commentary you produce rarely if ever reaches the ppl whose behavior it's sorta supposed to influence in some sense. each platform (x, insta, etc) has its own cultural constituency & already engrained belief system. so you can spend all day criticizing dating culture or divorce talk on a podcast on x but the ppl actually participating in that are on an entirely different network & frankly they don't even wanna hear your commentary. you have to really absorb a very simple rule which is that all social networks are optimized for validation rather than persuasion. this is still true for x but way less than any other platform.

OpenAI raised $122B in March, the biggest private funding round EVER. Now they're rushing to raise another $30B before Anthropic's IPO, going after some of the same investors like MGX and BlackRock. Quite the party-pooper move lol 😂 Anthropic raised $95B earlier this year in two rounds and is now eyeing a ~$100B IPO at a potential $1.5T–$2T valuation. SpaceX raised ~$111B through its June IPO + bond sales. And looking to borrow another $40B for Nvidia chips. I doubt even the founders of these companies imagined numbers this big just 5 years ago. The growth is fucking INSANE!!!

Quick math: 73 million American kids × $146 per SpaceX share = $10.7 BILLION Michael Dell committed $6.25B to kids investment accounts. Anthropic just pledged 5% of its equity for public benefit. Now Musk is giving every American kid a SpaceX share. This is how UBI begins in the AI era. Everyone gets a piece of the upside.
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.

The reason people love Elon Musk more than any other entrepreneur is that he actually makes sci-fi fantasies real. Reusable rockets, Mars missions, electric cars, brain implants, and now a freaking FLYING CAR!!! Stuff we grew up seeing in sci-fi movies. ELON FUCKING MUSK.
Real life, baby

Lmao this is such an Indian thing 😭 YC is literally a startup school, and we’ve now opened a coaching institute to help founders get into that school. We brought the IIT-JEE coaching culture to startups.
Masters’ Union launches ‘Road to YC’ to help tech founders build scalable businesses and prepare for Y Combinator (YC). The programme’s first cohort includes six startups led by 10 founders, working across AI infrastructure, coding agents, education, developer tools and relationship intelligence.

Funny how you ignored Anthropic’s $65B+ arr, potentially reaching $100B by year-end. Market is talking about a $2T valuation, because they’ve shown how fast their business can grow, largely driven by coding, and we’re barely scratching the surface of that market. I really like Meta, and its distribution advantage is massively undervalued. But Muse still has a lot to prove commercially, especially in coding. Anthropic has already shown what people are willing to pay for.
Meta having: - frontier lab + talent - SOTA model - $50b/yr in FCF to fund compute buildout - IG credit rating (70bps spread) if they want to fund more than $50b/yr - distribution to 4bn ppl - organic data in from 4bn ppl = lower mkt cap than Anthropic IPO price Ok.

I own a commercial site on the outskirts of Kanpur. The nearest cell tower is in a village around 5 km away, and trust me, the internet here is absolutely terrible. We're talking 2G-like speeds in 2026. We use those 4G JioFi devices just to keep our security cameras online. Somehow, they keep breaking every 2–3 months, so we end up buying new ones. And even when they're working, the internet is barely reliable. I'm literally willing to spend 40-50k on a decent internet setup that is reliable for a commercial site, but the problem is that no telecom provider offers broadband at our location. (PS: I'm ready to share the exact location to any Jio or Airtel's representative) And this is exactly why I think @Starlink could be so useful in India, atleast for remote locations. Mine is just one site on the outskirts of a major city. Imagine how many places like this exist across the country. And look, I have huge respect for what Mukesh Ambani did with Jio back in 2016. He made the internet affordable for hundreds of millions of Indians. I genuinely don't think India's internet revolution would have happened at the same pace without Jio. But that doesn't mean we should keep protecting Jio and Airtel from competition. Even if Starlink gets all the necessary approvals, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it ends up facing all sorts of bureaucratic hurdles. I mean, let's be real, with the kind of influence these companies have, pulling a few strings to make life difficult for a new competitor wouldn't exactly be hard. I'm not claiming that's what's happening, but I wouldn't be surprised either. And for the record, I'm a customer of both Jio and Airtel. They've done a lot for India's internet infrastructure, and I appreciate that. But there are still places they can't serve properly. Mine is one of them.
Dear Prime Minister Ambani, Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India. Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete? There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better. Thank you 🙏

Sabi says it has raised $50M to build a cap that turns intended speech into text. The team says TSMC fabricated its custom EEG chip, designed to read brain signals without touching the scalp. It is also training its own Brain Foundation Model on neural data. The goal: think a request and send it to an AI agent, without typing, speaking or an implant. Interesting use case, congrats on that.

This is getting really interesting 😂 @Starlink might be too expensive for the average Indian, but it could be a game changer for remote areas. And India desperately needs more competition in telecom. Another serious player would only benefit consumers.
Thank you, Rahul. This is indeed troubling.
