New pretalx release! Highlights: Your starred talks are now saved to your account (if you're logged in) for cross-device sharing & an organiser-level speaker directory to see all people who have ever submitted or presented at your events. Read more at pretalx.com/p/news/releasing…
And, as much as we hate to say “bug fixes and performance improvements”, pretalx *is* quite a bit faster now, especially on slow network connections (like your average conference wifi).

A look behind the scenes: This is how our new schedule editor was designed. There are so many design tools, but especially for layout ideas, it's hard to beat pen and paper and scissors!
ALT Paper cut into columns and menus, placed on a hand-drawn version of the pretalx interface, testing out where to put unscheduled talks, rooms, warnings etc.

We had a problem @rotkiapp and I made a small fork of "releases", a project to handle releases changelog in sphinx, 3 years ago since the original maintainer couldnt assist us
Seems that @rixxtr from @pretalx used our small fork all this time too!

New pretalx release is out: v2023.1.3 contains several bug fixes, including for rough edges in the new schedule editor, as well as fixing several problems in events with new (or many!) languages active: pretalx.com/p/news/releasing…
As we neared 1000 total events, our list of pretalx events over on GitHub grew too hard to maintain. (Talk about nice problems to have …!)
