EXCLUSIVE: 4 star California WR Ty Johnson has FLIPPED his commitment from @ArizonaFBall to in-state rival Arizona State University he confirmed with SunDevilDaily this morning.
Among the reasons for the flip, Johnson said that “Arizona State is a great program with a history of sending receivers into the league” and was primarily recruited by ASU’s Wide Receiver Coach and Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward.
Johnson was Arizona’s only 4 star of the 2027 cycle according to 247’s recruiting class tracker furthering Head Coach Brent Brennan’s recruiting woes as they are set to host and lose to Iowa State tomorrow.
I’m sorry but I have to crash out a little bit.
What the fuck is the problem with the lax nature our basketball program brings around the changing times? For as big as we are, we’re relatively lax in the portal, not The Standard in NIL, and can’t even get a player a temporary injunction that’s literally getting passed around like candy. Frankly, it’s infuriating
UPDATE: Oral arguments in the Georgia five-for-five appeal, Godfrey v. NCAA, are scheduled for January 12, 2027, well into the college basketball season.
With the injunction currently stayed, sources familiar with the case tell SBI that the plaintiffs are considering additional avenues for relief if the Georgia Supreme Court does not lift the stay.
Separately, SBI has confirmed that Texas Tech's Jamichael Stillwell is withdrawing from the Georgia lawsuit. According to an attorney involved in the case, the withdrawal process is underway, although the paperwork's completion has not yet been confirmed.
If Stillwell's withdrawal is finalized without prejudice, it could open the door to pursuing separate legal relief in Lubbock, where teammate Donovan Atwell recently secured a temporary injunction against the NCAA.

Big 12 teams beat Notre Dame and Oregon this year. BYU is about to be in the top five, and there are going to be three Big 12 teams in the top ten. Respectfully, maybe everyone can just shut the hell up with the Big 12 slander for a week.

Remember the BCS's Waterloo in 2011? During the era when THE REGULAR SEASON WAS SACRED!
In that season #1 LSU beat #2 Alabama in OT at Bryant-Denny Stadium. LSU won the SEC, Bama finished 2nd SEC West, 3/4th place SEC
Oklahoma State won the Big XII, a major conference, at 11-1
Bama/OSU, same record, and one is a major conference champ. THE REGULAR SEASON IS SACRED!
What did the BCS do? Gave us a rematch between LSU/Bama, a game already decided on the field, rather than a P5 champ vs P5 champ title game
