@ConexusNBS highlights how school gardens 🧑‍🌾can foster #biodiversity🕸️🦋🪱🪴 & provide hands on learning. Students here regularly record their observations of change 📈 in the garden & use specific plant properties to test pH. What’s more? Students started eating more veggies 🥕

As #Natureinthecity ends, @NBS_EduWORLD, #resonate, @feast2030, & #TRANSLighthouses reflect on collaboration & the need for projects to build on existing work. “There is more to learn. We are not just talking about living labs but about living knowledges.” #IsabelFerreira

🤔What do the following have in common? Unambitious political agendas, convoluted funding application processes & eligibility, too few trained personnel. They are all barriers to #cocreation. @UPSURGE_H2020’s #EmmaCampbell has ideas on how they can be overcome! #NatureintheCity

👀Tune in now to hear from @EcologicBerlin researchers #NataliaBurgos and @McKennaDavis_ on what mainstreaming #naturebasedsolutions looks like in practice! 🍿clevercities.eu/events/final…

“Participation isn’t the term any more. It is not: we are a city & we want something. We need an ongoing cocreation process. Ask residents first: what do you want & need? Only then should we choose a #naturebasedsolution and monitoring approach.” @proGIreg #AxelTimpe

“Communities should be at the center of decision making. Knowledge is power, and communities can use it to support each other, come together, and form a collective voice.” - @ThamesmeadLDN Community Design Committee 🌱

The @CLEVER_Cities study visit is off to an inspiring start with a visit to the @BAHarburg #greenfacade. The butterfly 🦋shape was chosen by the community 👥, and commuters enjoy the view and growing greenery 🌱 every day as they pass the train station 🚉 #NaturebasedSolutions
