It was such a delight to accompany Forrest Gander and promote his three collections (BE WITH, TWICE ALIVE, KNOT & MOJAVE GHOST in one volume) in Mandarin Chinese translation, all from East China Normal University Press, on a two-week trip to Beijing, Shanghai, and Nanjing.

If you want to be tossed by a wave of grief, try NOX. If you seek reinterpretation, check out Autobiography of Red. If you are on the hunt for a poet with 1,000 heads, “go with the” Float. If you have ever felt like you love what destroys you, pick up The Beauty of the Husband.

This book is a wild romp through a series of landscapes of devastation with Selena as a spiritual guide. I agree with the reviewer that book is not afraid of ugliness but never falls into despair. Felicidades to author and translator :) theliteraryunderground.org/b…
