A great #milestone 🎯of @project_avant during 2⃣0⃣2⃣4⃣ was the organization and host of the "Antibiotic-free pork production: perspective reality or challenging chimera" workshop. The workshop evaluated the feasibility of #antibiotic-free farming as a strategy to reduce #antibiotic use. Key topics of discussion included its viability, critical success factors, economic sustainability for producers, potential drawbacks, and strategies to foster consumer acceptance. Help us to tackle the emergence and spread of #AMR Drug-resistant microorganisms know no borders, posing a serious threat for humans👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, animals🐷 , plants🏵 and the environment🌍. Increased use and misuse of antimicrobials 💊 create favorable conditions for #microorganisms to develop resistance. Yet, there is still much to be done to raise public and stakeholder awareness. In 2022, @WOAH launched its pioneer platform #ANIMUSE for the effective monitoring of #antimicrobial use in animals. In ANIMUSE, veterinary services from all over the world can share data🗒 📈 on antimicrobial use in animals in their country.
