@BorisJohnson let us dance and have a wedding day like anyone else in any other time! We can go to a football match and Wimbledon but not stand and have a drink or a dance! #whataboutweddings

What’s this? A stand up drinks reception & buffet? Surely not when these are banned for wedding receptions? #WhatAboutWeddings We are done with the #Hypocrisy and #OneRuleForThem. We see you @BorisJohnson, @Keir_Starmer & we demand to know why weddings are being treated unfairly

This is how serious Boris Johnson is about combating the climate emergency: He flew to Cornwall.

BREAKING: High Court rules Michael Gove acted unlawfully.
It got us thinking about how many times we’ve seen similar headlines since 2019, and yet nothing changes. Here are some of the big ones. THREAD:

'Did he really just fly from London to Cornwall to talk about a 'greener' future?'

Our 1st priority is the safety of our loved ones. But we also want to see & celebrate those loved ones so weddings really matter! We can go to pubs, get on planes & go to indoor corporate events. Yet weddings may be restricted after 21st? No parity. No sense. #whataboutweddings

Weddings cannot wait - livelihoods are at immediate risk. 39% of suppliers will not survive beyond three months if restrictions aren't lifted. That's 150,000+ jobs gone in every corner of the country on your watch @BorisJohnson @michaelgove @MattHancock.

Not surprised @BorisJohnson wilful neglect of the wedding industry. Nearly two years income lost & no financial support for a sector worth £14.7bn to the British economy. An industry made up of 80% women it’s not just incompetence but misogyny. #whataboutweddings @WAWofficialUK

If you’re going to discriminate against the wedding industry, at least have concrete evidence to back it up. An absolute disgrace #whataboutweddings
Football? Safe. Concerts? Safe. Darts? Safe. Pubs? Safe. Weddings of more than 30 that have been banned for 15 months? Unsafe 🤯
I’d love to see the date you’ve collected to say large weddings are dangerous, when there haven’t even been any since early 2020. @BorisJohnson
So @itvnews interviewed me @Patchworkit in response to the government’s statement about weddings today. Trying not to swear. Shameful and wilful neglect of an industry made up of 80% women who collectively generate £14.7bn to the UK economy. #whataboutweddings

We lose quite a few followers whenever we criticise the Government.
But we’re not prepared to lie - they do enough of that for everyone.
We think the truth should matter so much more than party politics - please follow and RT if you do too so we can keep being honest.

The insecurity and fears so many Israeli Jews now feel is something Palestinians have lived with since Israel was established. That is why the demand for equal rights and justice is the only way forward

Israel just intentionally destroyed press offices in Gaza, giving only one hour's warning. Associated Press President "horrified that the Israeli military would target and destroy news organizations in Gaza."
