We've released ATC, a new open-source coding agent based on Tacit. It uses tracked capabilities to control what agents can do, and works with Claude and Codex subscriptions as well as API providers. Funded by the Swiss Cyber-Defence Campus. Enjoy! github.com/lampepfl/atc

It has been a while. I'm happy to present the secure programming language Jo I've been working on: jo-lang.org I believe we can solve the sandboxing problem better with compile-time sandboxing: fine-grained permissions at application-level instead of system-level.

After 6+ years at Devsisters, I’m ready for my next challenge. I’m a hands-on backend architect with 15+ years of experience designing and building large-scale backend systems, distributed architectures, and high-concurrency live-service game platforms. I’m also a library author and maintainer in the Scala open-source ecosystem, where I’ve created projects including Caliban, Shardcake, and Proteus. I’d love to continue working primarily with Scala in my next role. I’m looking for: - Location: Remote worldwide or hybrid/onsite in South Korea - Focus: Backend architecture, distributed systems, and lead/principal engineering roles If you think my experience could be a good fit for your team, feel free to send me a DM. If you know someone hiring, a share or repost would be hugely appreciated!

Today I released Sage, a fast and modern Redis/Valkey client library in Scala 3, with support for ZIO, Cats Effect, Kyo and Ox. It is a RESP3 protocol-native implementation, designed with advanced use cases in mind (pipelining, cluster, caching, etc). ghostdogpr.github.io/sage/

#Scala folks, in Italy 🇮🇹 we're approaching the Republic Day, and a new #YAES version is here to celebrate! 🎉 The focus was on testing YAES applications, so we introduced some utilities to deal with effects in tests (mainly for @scalatest). Check it out! github.com/rcardin/yaes/rele… cc @ScalaTimes cc @petr_zapletal

Is it possible to develop complex GPU pipelines in Scala? 🧠 Spoiler alert, it is! A very well made presentation on Cyfra from @scalarconf 2026. Worth watching even if you know nothing about GPU computations (like me 😀). Btw, it almost matches C++ llama performance! 👇

How can we ensure critical safety properties of AI agents? Like, no API keys leaked, no prompt injection, no data loss? It's a hard question which will require fundamentally rethinking the way we build modular software. We have an answer in our paper "Tracking Capabilities for Safer Agents" arxiv.org/abs/2603.00991, which I will present at the CAIS conference caisconf.org/ next week.

Kyo 1.0.0-RC2 is out so why not - refactoring my whole project to use it. Let's see how it goes in the wild ✌️ PS: Will need to introduce workflows4s-kyo :) @Krever01 should be easy with recently added effect polymorphism I guess :) github.com/getkyo/kyo/releas…

A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of giving a talk at @scalarconf. Now the video 📽️ is available! The talk was about how #Scala, #Kotlin, and #Java use continuations to implement their light version of threads 🧵 Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=2TA-6Ypl…
