Regarding the petition - Myself and @wearemasseffect don't take credit for what the #SaveMassEffect movement has become, but we want to stress that for us it IS about BioWare. Unfortunately because of copyright the billboards can't mention BioWare but we tried. Mass Effect as a franchise was created by people who have been living and breathing BW and this game for years. This is part of their life. SaveMassEffect is about honoring them and their work. It's about wanting their work not to be vaulted by EA. It's about wanting them to find some way to preserve their jobs and finish what they started as delusional a goal as it may be. SaveMassEffect is about them as much as it is about this fictional world we love so much. We know the petition is advocating for the IP to be sold off and made by someone else and we disagree. We tried to find common ground with the person who created it to coordinate efforts better, but alas. Regardless, we still want people to sign it and will push for it as the signatures are the most important part, but those aren't our message or what this means to us.
