Cyrus tried his best to remember. He has a pretty sharp memory pero di niya alam kung bakit eto hindi niya agad maalala.
He glanced at the notebook once more and read the name over and over again. It took more than a minute before something finally popped into his head.
"Gago. Naalala ko na!"
"Really?! You do?! So, sino nagsulat niyan?! That person's the reason why friends tayo sa facebook!"
He looked at Kenrick with excitement. He was such a fool for not remembering from the very beginning that he met Kenrick from an event before. It was one of the events that gave him an opportunity to pursue his dream to become a musician.

Kenrick tried his best to recall that day while Cyrus was excitedly and patiently waiting for him to remember.

Pagkatapos namin sa Watson ay dumiretso agad kami sa grocery. Ako ang nagtulak sa cart habang si babi ay tinignan yung listahan niya ng mga bibilin.
“Sa mga sabon muna tayo, babi. Una rin nating madadaanan mga yun ehh.”
“Sige. Sunod lang ako sayo, babi.”
Nakahawak si babi sa dulo ng cart habang naglalakad kami at bahagya niya rin itong hinihila kaya di rin naman talaga ako mahihiwalay sa kanya. Pagkarating naman sa aisle kung nasaan ang mga sabon ay agad kumuha si babi nung mga sabon panlaba at fabric conditioner na ginagamit namin sa bahay. Tapos sa katabing aisle naman kumuha siya ng dishwashing liquid, hand soaps, shampoo, at body wash. Iba yung gamit ko sa gamit niya pero alam niya rin kung ano yung kukunin para sa ‘kin. Halos lahat ng ginagamit namin sa bahay siya ang nakakaalam. Alam ko rin naman pero may iba na di ko alam o hindi pa ako aware. He’s really the head of the household. After grabbing some of the bath and laundry essentials, we continued to get some condiments and other food that we need. Alam na alam na ni babi mga kukunin kung anong brand at kung gaano kalaki. Sunod naman kaming pumunta sa snacks aisles. Una, kumuha kami ng biscuits, then candies, and lastly chips. Hindi naman ganun kadami ang kinuha namin, enough lang for two weeks of stock. Bi-weekly naman kami nag-grocery o depende kung need na agad. Kumuha rin kami ng tissues, garbage bags, plastics, and tetra pack juices, at gatas. May iba pang mga kinuha si babi na di ko alam kung pang-stock lang sa bahay o gagamitin niya talaga. After getting all the things that we have to buy ay pumila na kami sa cashier. Hindi naman ganun kahaba pila pero may waiting time. We lined up and there were at least three people in front of us sa big cart. I suggested na lumipat kami sa VIP lane pero sabi ni babi mas matagal dun kasi yung mga nauna sa 'min dala-dalawa yung big carts, which I realized na mas matagal nga silang matatapos kumpara rito sa big cart lane. We stayed on this lane and just waited for our turn. While waiting, biglang tumunog phone ni babi. It wasn't a call. It was just a notification sound that he received a text message. Agad niyang kinuha phone at binasa yung na-receive niyang message.
"Sino yan?" I asked out of curiosity.
Hindi siya sumagot agad at para bang pa-ulit-ulit niyang binabasa yung message sa kanya o pwede ring mahaba yung message sa kanya at hindi pa niya tapos basahin yun. Pinagmasdan ko lang ang ekspresyon niya sa mukha at di ko masabi kung ano ang nararamdaman niya sa binabasa niya.
"Babi?" I called out after a minute or two.
Dito kumibo na siya at saglit na napatingin sa 'kin.
"Okay ka lang? Sino nag-message sayo?"
He lightly sighed and looked at his phone again.
"Si Kenzo. Nakalabas na raw ng ospital si Xixi."
Natigilan naman ako sa sinabi niya.
So, he's out.
I honestly don't know what to feel about that.
“That’s—that’s good, then,” I said as I swallowed my pride.
I have to be nice. Getting confined is no joke, so I need to have sympathy for this kahit na I get jealous of him.

Bigla naman akong kinabahan sa pagtawag niya sa 'kin. I could already feel what's coming. Alam ko na kung ano ang mga susunod niyang sasabihin.

He took a deep breath as I swallowed my saliva with difficulty. Mas lalong lumala kaba sa dibdib ko habang naghihintay sa susunod niyang sasabihin. Napatingin ulit siya sa 'kin bago siya nagsalita.
“I want to see him,” he said, not even having second thoughts.
"See— him?"
He nodded, "I want to see him. May ibabalik lang ako sa kanya."
Bahagya namang kumalma ang puso ko sa huli niyang sinabi.

Ang alam ko lahat ng gamit na nagpapa-alala sa kanya kay Xyrus kinuha na lahat ni Kuya Maxi. Kukunin niya ba ulit yun at ibibigay lahat kay Xyrus? I guess that's fine too pero di naman na niya kailangan gawin din yun.
"Anong ibabalik mo?" I asked to confirm.

Ohh... right. They were engaged. Lagi kong nakakalimutan yan. So, the engagement ring is still with him? Hindi niya yun sinama sa mga gamit na kinuha ni Kuya Maxi?
"You still have it with you? Hindi mo yun binigay kay Kuya Maxi when he got all the things that reminded you of you Xixi?"
"No. I—I couldn't at the time. I didn't know what to do with it kaya tinago ko na lang muna hanggang sa nakalimutan ko na. Naalala ko lang nung nabanggit sa 'kin ni Kuya Maxi kasi we're already engaged. And now, I know what I want to do with it. I'll give it back to Xixi and tell him about our engagement."
I felt a bit wary but I respect his decision. It's like a final closure for him. He needs it, I believe. I smiled and lightly nodded.
"Okay. Kelan mo siya balik kitain?"
"Maybe this week. I know I can do it on the weekend so I'll do it this coming days. You can come with me, babi. I'd like it if you could come with me, babi."
Para namang natunaw ang puso ko sa pag-alok niyang sumama ako sa kanya. I wasn’t expecting him to do that, nor did I want to come with him. I trust him and I want to give him that time to have a proper talk with his ex, lalo na we’re already engaged. It’s gonna be a lot to take for Xixi. I know it would be for me if I were in his shoes.
"Thank you for telling me to come, babi. I appreciate it. But I want to give you that time with him. To have a proper talk with him and maybe take it as your final closure with him. Hatid na lang kita kung saan man kayo mag-uusap."
Saglit muna niya akong pinagmasdan at nagulat na lang ako nung bigla siyang lumapit sa 'kin at niyakap ako ng mahigpit.
"Thank you, babi. Thank you for understanding. I was preparing myself kung di ka papayag ehh."
I chuckled and hugged him back.
"I'm not that inconsiderate, babi. Seloso lang ako pero maintindihin parin ako. Just tell me when and where ako na maghahatid sayo sa kanya at susunduin din kita."
Inangat niya yung ulo niya para tingnan ako sa mukha at hindi siya bumitaw sa yakap niya sa ’kin. He smiled, a soft, sweet smile formed on his lips and I thought he was going to speak but he suddenly gave me a quick peck on my lips.
“Thank you, asawa ko. Hindi talaga ako nagkamaling umoo sa’yo.”

Di naman katagalan ay pangalawa na kami sa pila. Bigla namang may tinanong si babi sa 'kin na out of topic.
"Babi, bakit kaya nila dinidisplay yang mga ano—yan ohh sa harap ng counter?"
Pabulong niyang tinanong yun at tinuro niya lang yung tinutukoy niya. Sinundan ko kung saan nakatura daliri niya at bahagya akong napangisi.
"Ano muna yun?"
Mabilis naman siyang napatingin sa 'kin at nakakunot na agad ang noo niya.
"Ehh kasi. Alam mo naman kung ano yun."
"Bakit di mo masabi kung ano yun?"
"Ang daming tao. Nakakahiya."
Kitang-kita ko sa mukha niya na nahihiya talaga siya. Ang cute. Akala mo di ako sinubo kagabi.

“Hala. Bakit may glow in the dark na ganyan? Ano yan gagawing lightsaber yung ano mo?” natatawa niyang tanong.

Tawang-tawa naman siya at nahampas pa ko sa sobrang tawa niya. I was just joking pero deep inside medyo seryoso ako dun.
"Bwisit ka talaga. Napaka mo, babi. Darating din tayo dyan balang araw."
"Why balang araw when it could be now?" I said, smirking.
Napatitig lang siya sa 'kin at tinaas-taas ko mga kilay ko habang onti-onting lumalawak ngisi ko sa kanya. Sasagot na dapat siya at sa ekspresyon palang ng mukha niya ay handa na siyang pagsabihan ako kaso nakabalik na yung pharmacist kaya natigil usapan namin. Habang tinatype nung pharmacist sa computer yung mga pinamili naming gamot ay kumuha ako ng anim na box ng condom na magkakaibang variety.

I wouldn't be surprised kapag siya pa nag-initiate na gamitin na namin yun. Sana nga bigla siyang sapian ulit ng wild side niya. Iniisip ko palang kinikilig na ko. Medyo mild pa yung pagka-wild niya kagabi. I wonder kung may ilalala pa yun once we went all out. I'm really looking forward for that moment to happen.

Di parin talaga ako makapaniwala kapag naaalala ko nangyari. Para talagang nag-ibang anyo si babi nun. Muntik na kong bumigay din. Buti na lang kinaya ko pa at hanggang dun lang ang nagawa namin.

Napabango naman ako sa pagkakahiga at lumabas ako ng kwarto bago ako sumagot sa sigaw ni babi para marinig niya ko.

Siguro tinatanong niya si manang kung ano mga need bilin. Maya-maya lang ay lumabas na siya sa kusina.
“Babi, alis na ba tayo?”
Napatingin naman siya sa ‘kin.
“Wait lang. Ihi lang ako.”
“Sige. Dito lang ako sa sala.”
“Wag ka matutulog. Kutos ka talaga sa ‘kin kapag nakatulog ka dyan.”

Pabulong lang yung huling sinabi ko pero narinig parin ni babi. Galit siyang lumapit sa ‘kin kaya hinarang ko agad mga braso ko kasi alam kong hahampasin niya ko.
“Nagsasabi lang ako ng pawang katotohanan lamang, babi.”
“Katotohanan? Katotohanan talaga?”
“Yes. That’s the truth. Gusto mo re-call natin mga nangyari kagabi bakit puyat—“
Nagulat ako nung bigla niyang tinakpan bibig ko at pinandilatan ako ng mga mata.
