It would be good for the world to have a browser that's neither directly nor indirectly funded by the advertising industry.

most web apps should be one-time-purchase, portable, front-end-only HTML files users can run and modify locally they should not bloated, infinitely scalable, barely-stitched-together microservices working their asses off to produce simple CRUD interfaces behind a $20/m SaaS fee

I know it's an unusual scenario, but it'd be really nice if I could use Spotify Web Player as a "remote control" for another instance, even if my current browser doesn't support Encrypted Media Extensions yet. 🤓 (cc @eldsjal, background: we're building a new browser!)

I think if every time we thought something positive about someone, we told them instead of keeping it internal, the world would be a lighter warmer place such a small act but can change everything for someone

If LVMH is worth $400B today, could the "LVMH of software" be worth $400B+? Probably. I wonder what the LVMH of software looks like: - Software as a status symbol - Beautifully designed - Impeccable customer service - Scarce product - Partnerships with world-class creators

One of the things that I feel like the best creators do is build a world and create vocabulary/terms for things in it

Personal update: I've accepted a job in the Bay Area and will be moving back to California soon! 🤓🌊🌞 They gave me an offer I simply couldn't refuse, and although this means I won't be able to participate in open source projects anymore, I'm super excited to do my part in making the world a better place! 🚀💪💸

I've successfully loaded VS Code in @ladybirdbrowser! 🤓🐞🌍 It's verrrrry slow (as expected), and we can't open any files since we're missing a bunch of APIs. Still, a surprising amount of stuff does work.. for example: installing extensions! 🤯
