This motherfucker gave us blue balls for many, many fucking seasons and at the end we still didn't get to see him dawn the full suit fuck Tom Welling. He was never no fucking Superman. I absolutely love that they’re finally treating Super Saiyan 2 and 3 with the respect they fucking deserve instead of relegating them to the evolutionary dumpster like obsolete software. There’s actually a coherent, progressive hierarchy of transformations driven by necessity rather than gratuitous glorification. What an astonishingly revolutionary concept: logical storytelling!
The original Dragon Ball Super had this obnoxious habit of bypassing Super Saiyan 2 and 3 just to jump straight to Super Saiyan Blue, as though Goku’s previous transformations were embarrassing relatives nobody wanted at the goddamn family reunion.
I sincerely hope this revamped series maintains that narrative discipline, allowing each transformation to serve a legitimate tactical purpose rather than treating Blue like some overpriced, celestial cheat code. So far, the storytelling appears considerably more cohesive, methodical, and intellectually consistent.
Imagine that: Dragon Ball actually respecting its own power progression instead of throwing continuity out the fucking window every time somebody changes hair color. 😂
