Petit bonhomme. Vraiment tout, tout petit bonhomme. Nicolas Sarkozy rallie le RN librejournal.fr/article/nico…

Then the EuroWesties rediscovered “Graecum”, got a thrill & a Renaissance, suddenly felt smarter, & looked down upon us, Easterners, asking: “but why didn’t *you* have a Renaissance?” 🧐 🙄 Because we, Orthodox, never stopped being in touch with Greece, Byzantium & Greek ideas.
Graecum est, non legitur: “It is Greek; it cannot be read.” In the 1340s hardly anyone in Latin Europe read Greek; by 1600 it was taught and printed across the West. A map of 8,232 Greek manuscripts, 126 Greek teachers and scribes, and 419 first editions: iosiflazaridis.github.io/gre…

And there we go, @Alice_Weidel. Welcome to the EU’s 6th largest country public debate. This is not just going to stay without any sort of consequences.
Replying to @Alice_Weidel
Thanks for offering me the pretext to turn you into my personal enemy 👏 I hold you & your party & supporters personally responsible for the 45 years bill that Romania had to pay for your ancestors’ 1933 criminal choice. Romanians may be “thieves”, but you (AfD) are murderers.

🇷🇺 🇧🇬 This confirms my suspicions about an underground coordination between the Bulgarian PM office and their Kremlin friends : using the Bulgarian EEZ (and maybe more…) to undermine Black Sea stability and security. Suspicions I openly expressed on @Digi24_HD this Wednesday.
Has anyone asked how policy makers in France think about the Bulgarian decision not to intervene after - Bulgaria requested greater NATO assistance in monitoring the Black Sea - France provided it’s newest maritime surveillance asset - France spotted an incoming threat and relayed a warning to Bulgaria - Bulgaria did nothing, despite their Air Force assets being up and in the area

To clarify: I do not imply a tacit convention of sorts, but a neutral benevolence or simulated-only concern for the aggression taking place in Bulgaria’s EEZ. After all, not covered by NATO art 5; ergo, no risk for 🇷🇺 & only benefits for 🇧🇬 in showing Moscow friendliness.

Since 2018, when Russian 🇷🇺 flags were displayed during the Yellow Jackets movement. I was in Paris those days and saw enough of those, plus the faces of the “protesters”. And yet in 2019, 🇫🇷 was jumping ecstatically in Russia’s bed for an intimate conversation on “trust”.
As a Romanian living in France, what I witnessed this weekend was not a typical French protest. Having called France my home long enough to see my share of street movements, I can tell when a line has been crossed. Burning cars, trash cans, looting, street blockades, and clashes with police are, unfortunately, routine. What is new is the direct targeting of symbolic civic and cultural institutions. The sheer intensity of violence between demonstrators and the state signals a dangerous shift, yet the reaction online is a collective shrug. Dismissing this as "standard French riot" is a mistake. It blinds us to how legitimate domestic anger is being actively leveraged by foreign hybrid operations (including russia). Outside actors are injecting radical anti-military slogans and polarizing anti-immigration rhetoric into the public debate around student marches, weaponizing digital polarization to split society ahead of the 2027 presidential election. France has rarely felt this divided. This is no longer just local turmoil, and its fallout won't end at the French border. 📸: Matthieu Rondel

Darling, one can appreciate France 🇫🇷 and STILL be extremely critical and severe with the endlessly wrong options they make since 1981. Discernment is superior to blind loyalty—but that’s what Macronites and macronsplainers always failed to understand. Yes, Macron is a disaster.
Anyone who admires 🇫🇷 is left saddened by this weekend’s violence Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, it will further polarise public debate and politicise the streets. France risks avoiding the big questions about its future that really matter economist.com/europe/2026/10…

I will take France 🇫🇷 seriously on Europe only when their political vocabulary will exclude words like “Russia”, or when they will be able to pronounce “Russia” and still have a spine.
Replying to @SlavitescuEuseb

Second offering in this Egyptian thread is a most glorious setset, as the Sun God Ra baths the ancient pyramids at Giza in a golden glow. This spectacular Autochrome plate was taken exactly 100 years ago in 1926 by Jules Gervais-Courtellemont. It is not colourised.

Do you have a better replacement for security partner than 🇺🇸 ? Unless you forgot about the pro 🇷🇺 traditional politics of 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 and the joyous indifference of 🇮🇹 or 🇪🇸…
I am a Romanian who used to love the USA. But not anymore. All Eastern Europe loved the USA. We were the USA' s biggest fans. MAGA siding with ruzzia changed many minds over here.
