Lot of awful to unpack here, but I would say that this fear extends to content creators as well. Had people reach out to me numerous times in private for being rightfully critical, but also letting me know they can't like my post in public for fear of WOTC retribution.

#PSA, if you’re going to hurt yourself, don’t do it in front of a German train. All you do is cause chaos.
I’m not calling @McDonalds #prejudice, but the German as first language customers before and after me totally got ice cream when I was told the machine is broken.

When you think you’re gonna have a good night, but the machine at @McDonalds “isn’t working.” Someone the guy in front of me got ice cream. 🧐🧐
So do I get an apology from the @DB_Bahn for being late to work? Because seems like losing a half day of pay because they are saving a percent on cost is absurd.
