For a championship that seeks to be "green," this is a nightmare. I can only believe that the Australian promoters convinced Liberty Media that the protests were from a small group of fanatics. If the government lied, or, just as bad, didn´t know what it was talking about, this is a race that could give MotoGP a black eye.

It looks like the gravel traps at Jerez are not level with the track, there is a lip that trips the bikes up, especially Alonso's crash.
This is what used to be at Turn 1 Barber until someone presumably didn't think they needed it. Might have been useful yesterday.
