BREAKING: 53 fatalities confirmed amid active #lahainafire, @CountyofMaui announced just now. @KITV4. 36 fatalities were confirmed as of Wednesday. Another 17 were confirmed midday today. The status of all three fires remains unchanged.

We had an *encounter* yesterday with a flying roach the size of my index finger. After successfully killing it, we spent the next hour shaky and silent like we had just witnessed a horrific car wreck.
