Gordon Elliott on Romeo Coolio 🗣️ "He had an unbelievable first season over fences and won three Grade 1s. He's a high-class horse and the plan is to go to Down Royal. "Whether we go for the Champion Chase or the Racing Post Chase, we'll see, but he's come back in looking very strong. "He won his Grade 1s over two and two and a half miles. I think two and a half miles is probably his ideal trip, but now he's a year older he could make into a three-mile horse. "I'm not sure really, but we could find out at Down Royal if he goes to the Grade 1. And at least if you find out at the start of the season, you know where you're going then."

Gordon Elliott on Teahupoo 🗣️ "He's the horse of a lifetime and turns up in those Grade 1s every season and wins a couple. He's another year older and there are a few sets of younger legs in the staying hurdle division, but he's hugely consistent and turns up every time. "He won the Hatton's Grace for a third time last season and he'll start off in the same race, provided the ground is suitable. He's in good form, is back cantering away and we'll probably follow the same programme as usual"

🗣️ "It wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he started Derby favourite" How impressed was our man with Drumbeat's win in France? 🤔 Read with Racing Post+👇 🔗 racingpost.com/news/betting-…

🗣️ "I wouldn't say we're any closer to good to soft than we were on Friday" The Charlie Hall Chase looks set to be run on ground no softer than good next Saturday, despite Britain being battered by autumn storms over the weekend 🔗 racingpost.com/news/jump-rac…

Gordon Elliott on Brighterdaysahead 🗣️ "She's an absolute star and had another brilliant campaign last season. She never runs a bad race and picked up another two Grade 1s at Leopardstown and Aintree, and ran a cracker in the Champion Hurdle. "The plan is to stay over hurdles this season. It'll probably be closer to Christmas before we start her off as she got a little haematoma. She's absolutely fine, but just missed a bit. "Last season she didn't run until Leopardstown at Christmas, and I'd imagine you'll see the best of her in the second half of the season again this time. At this stage, you'd probably say her main target would be the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham"
