Aside from the often (over)used "verifiable", I really like the analogy from game theory: perfect information games/tasks. If exploring all possible avenues is impractical, then it becomes a search/optimisation problem.
I feel like I need a word for the type of task that agents are really good at
I.e. where it has 100% of the data, it can run experiments, verify independently, and hill-climb towards its destination
On these tasks my trust level is totally maxed-out and the results are incredible

This is what we do in our MissionControl factory. Mission templates dictate the starting stages (=fresh agent session), our workflow engine ensures they run în right sequence + approval gates etc, & coordinator agent/humans decide if we need to add new stages to the mission
tbh. I wish more people didn't lean on the agentic loop 100%; instead, they should lean on @temporalio esq workflow engines as stages. There's an art in deciding whether to utilise the LLM loop vs. a deterministic workflow. You can do both; the magic is in combining and applying both ingredients in the right manner.

Today, @ducklabs_com is joining @awscloud. The move is expected to be completed by early September.
Joining AWS gives DuckLabs the resources and reach to bring DuckDB, DuckLake, and the Quack protocol to many more developers and organizations – and to pursue ideas at a scale that would have been difficult for us to reach alone.
The DuckLabs team will remain together in Amsterdam and will continue working for the Duck Stack community as an AWS subsidiary.
Most importantly, #DuckDB and the other open source components of the Duck Stack will remain free and open source under the MIT license, with the non-profit DuckDB Foundation continuing its stewardship of the projects.
This is a significant moment for DuckLabs and the Duck Stack community. It marks the end of one chapter that we are immensely proud of, and the beginning of another that we believe will take DuckDB much further.

Spicy-ish take 🌶️ : if your “orchestration” app dedicates 70% of its UI surface to the agent chat + has it front and centre and it makes no decisions about how/what/where/etc work is happening, it’s not orchestrating, it’s agent chat viewer with a bit of infra plumbing.

On benchmarking, we’re just the right amount of crazy @KOPEai ! The sessions on coding agents from @OpenAI and software factories from @cursor_ai confirmed our @KOPEai #MissionControl is on the frontier for most things and pushing the envelope with what we do differently.
The surprise of the day ? In a room where just about everyone was running some kind of coding agent on their laptops, I found it calming to know the missions I’d launched in #MissionControl that morning were running and autonomously making progress in the background.
