Let me show you some highlights - 🧵👇
We can (and should) delineate "𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮" services from local and regional services. ic should be a brand in and of itself, and yes, should be represented as much on local mapping, such as the Weaver Network map
After this week's @Railnatter, I've had the pleasure of writing up my proposals for an extensive Leeds (and West Yorkshire) Metro for @leeds_exchange - if you want maps, we've got maps! If you want an explanation of repeat station designs, it's here! Are trams good enough? No!
And yes, the Weaver Network map by @GarethDennis is beautiful! And only builds on the case that there should be a fully fledged metro system in Yorkshire. I haven't necessarily commented on it because my area expertise is slim, and I generally comment of more than I need to know!
I'm not an aircraft guy, but the trail from this casting it's own shadow onto the particulate and atmosphere is pretty cool, if not somewhat scary. I've never seen that before!

Top quality messaging! 🫡
It's that time of year again, leaves on the line... 🍂🙄
Well, we're here to tell you: It's Not Just A Leaf!
It's millions of leaves falling onto the tracks which, when crushed under passing trains, can turn into slippery mulch - the black ice of the railway.
But don't worry, we're ready for autumn! Teams across Northern, @TPExpressTrains, @networkrail and wider industry are working together to tackle leaf fall, reduce disruption and keep you moving safely.
The is so important, this video changed my life; generosity.
This is why "Moving Britain, by Design" will always be about how I, as creative mind, can help improve our railway and be a force for good in people's lives.

Fascinating thread; solving a logistical nightmare. And also? checking the berths of ferry arrivals! This is top quality service delivery. 🫡

MAKE THE LOGO MASSIVE wins again. GBR will never look good until every single word and letter is removed from the base livery. YOU DON'T NEED "GBR", THE DOUBLE ARROW IS RIGHT THERE.

Ignoring the fact that this is AI, this slaps so hard ❤️ the InterCity word mark aligned as x-height to the running lines too? ✅
Replying to @EngFocus
It wouldn't be impossible? This is 30 seconds of AI so a real designer could make something very cool that's still red, white and blue?

It's not going well for discontinuous electrification so far... A lesson for other metro operators that this tech doesn't work. And a warning sign for relying heavily on batteries instead of conventional electrification.
British passenger operator Transport for Wales (TfW) has withdrawn from service and paused the rollout of more class 398 tram-trains deployed on commuter lines serving Cardiff. railjournal.com/fleet/softwa…

Question for livery chat; should I include a yellow front on class 80x stocknin my designs? I say this: while 80x comply with the updated visibility regulations (ie high luminance headlight ect); yellow front give additional redundancy, and retain the institutional railway charm
The design has changed slightly, but! The proposal for the InterCity West Coast livery will be published in 2 weeks.
It will include full 807 and 390 graphics.
There will be a bull version for internal, (is Avanti, GBR ect.), and slightly redacted version available publicly.

Delivering a railway where rolling stock & infrastructure are managed together has the potential to be better for customers & taxpayers.

This is an important step. We now need to develop a long term business plan and secure adequate funding.
