The lower you keep your reps, the tighter velocity windows you can run.
This means you get a better Strength stimulus by optimizing neural coordination conditions. Tight Velos and Low Fatigue.
This is why Athletes should employ a Low Rep Strength System.
Two things I learned from High School kids today:
1) 80 degrees is too hot this time of year.
2) Siberia is in Africa 😳

I’ve yet to find an athlete who increased their Squat Strength but didn’t jump significantly higher.
I’ve had athletes do all their jumps, but not apply the effort into their strength work and Jumps don’t move.
Lesson in there.

The official musical duo of “I’m at my grandparents’ house and they’re into this shit. And now I think maybe I’m into it a little too.”
We have 42 minute class periods. I have 3 types of classes.
Type 1-use all 42 minutes with 1-2min to spare
Type 2-use 49 minutes-always late
Type 3-use 26 minutes then look at me like I'm an idiot when I ask how they are done so fast.

If a kid can squat, just "avoid heavy" and lunge, just "avoid heavy. bodyweight ok." I'm not sure I understand the issue. Heavy is relative. There is so much to these PT notes that need explaining. Do we avoid "heavy" so they can do Band TKE's and calf raises at PT for 3 weeks?
If we bi-lateral squat one day and uni-lateral another, you’re not “filling empty buckets” b/c you take a kid and back squat or deadlift at your guru shop.
"Coach, it says for me to do single leg hurdle jumps. Should I use a box or do you want me to jump over a hurdle?"🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Coach: "Keep barbell speeds above .6m/s."
ATH: ".18, .18, .14"
Coach: "What are you doing?"
ATH: "I DONT KNOW. I thought I could get it."
Kids, this isn't hard to understand but when you blatantly disregard instructions.....🤦♂️
If you’re a HS coach running your team because of penalties….would you do that if you’re the Browns coach?

How come parents never tell their kid’s math teacher how to teach calculus but they think as parents they have the right to tell a coach how much playing time and with whom and when their kid should play.

"Hey coach, I got my MRI results yesterday." Cool, what did it say? "I don't know, they didn't really tell me." 🤨This is why it's important for the adults to talk to each other from time to time. 😤

When I see all the people paying for exposure, paying hype men, paying for re-tweets there is one common thread.
If someone is asking for your credit card number hang up as fast as you can.
If you have to pay someone to get noticed you already have your answer.

If middle school athletes are missing games because of back pain, wearing patellar tendon bands, and playing through pain most of the time, you might have a volume issue.
