#Lgusd admin team kicking off the year by dancing! “Be the source of someone else’s joy!” @JohnsonP_LGUSD @PAWSPrincipal #wearelgusd
A wood carved personalized end of the year gift from parents. Something that I hope to look at and build years of memories. #wearelgusd #grateful
Lucky to be part of LGUSD! Our parents contribute and do so much for our district. Parents took time to personalize a thank you package for teacher appreciation week! #grateful @lgef_org #wearelgusd
Fun energy unit where S build a #rubegoldbergmachine. Bulk of it was found online as a public deck. Some ideas were taken from @HKoleszar and videos were added from @MysterySci. Let's see where the S take this. #funeducation #4thgrade #weareLGUSD docs.google.com/presentation…
#4thgrade Ss used #GoogleEarth to conceptualize missions of CA earlier in the year. We’ll revisit this during our Indigenous ppls unit and overlay it onto tribal maps to grasp the impact. #weareLGUSD
The opportunity to utilize parents for virtual field trips is now. I’ve had two authors, an actor, and a restoration artist come to class. On top of their expertise, lessons about following passions, persistence, and perseverance have shined through. #weareLGUSD #remotelearning
Something for all to watch and hear! Thank you @PAWSPrincipal for sharing. m.youtube.com/watch?v=NkDNp4…

HACK! Have u ever been mortified by what pops up when sharing links to YouTube 4 ur Ss? Avoid those beginning & side ads on YouTube when sharing links by adding "_popup" between "watch" and "?" in the url. It will go directly to video. #PatinsIcam [Video: adding _popup on url]
Need help! Would someone be able to tell me why I can no longer see the iPad/iPhone airplay option? Is it an organization/management setting? @zoom_us
Found it! 🤦🏽♂️ now I can screen share wirelessly from my iPad/iPhone again! #persistence
Hands on art activity that taps into SEL! Nice Ms. Berman!

RIP to Sir Ken Robinson, an eloquent and indefatigable defender of the role of the arts and creativity in education. His TED talks made him famous, and he wrote major books on creativity in 2001 and 2015. Robinson was knighted in 2003. He died yesterday; his voice will be missed.
I hope I can still inspire them through these screens. It’s not an easy situation for anyone. I can vouch for quite a few teachers that the weight of the world which we typically carry during a normal school year has been magnified tenfold. Let’s not forget that many of us have
our own kids at home. We are feeling the pressure to be as creative and caring as we possibly can through a screen. Developing and fostering relationships that allow kids to learn through virtual connections is going to be the challenge. Without that connection,
we can forget about the academics. We shouldnt be interested in tracking what kids aren’t doing, we should be interested in why they aren’t doing what they could be doing. Again, I’m hopeful and optimistic because the kids need me to be. #teacherlife #distancelearning #year9
I'm looking forward to self-paced PD with the #leadingedgeflex program. I'm also curious to see how the points based system might affect my participation. Just getting started!
I spy friends over at @USDUpdates enabling Ss to let their voices be heard as citizens! How did you all make this happen? @MrsSilvaUMS #usdlearns facebook.com/CAEducation/pho…
Open house..... it’ll be late this year but, planning to host a virtual open house for Ps. Ss will compline their work on a self portrait with hidden buttons similar to a thinglink and then present in small breakout rooms via @Zoom. I’m hoping it works. #wearedaves #wearelgusd
