The local #celebrities and the #IndianLeaders who have gone about their routine today without even making a mention of the spine- chilling Flydubai flight incident are not to be trusted. They have buried their conscience in pretense. They have sold their souls to the Evil.

Steve Waugh 🗣️:
People always say to me, "What's the secret to success?" and it's always the same answer: hard work.
You look at Shane Warne, one of the greatest bowlers of all time.
He worked harder than anyone else on his bowling. He was always analyzing it, practicing it.
And I remember one story: Carl Hooper took him apart in a test match in Barbados on the first day of the series, turning wicket.
He was just randomly charging him and putting him over cover and mid-wicket.
We thought that was really strange, like, "How did you do that?"
So, Warne went home that night and got the tapes of the day's play and went through them.
And when Carl Hooper was tapping his bat in his normal stance, he was going to play like a conservative normal shot, either forward or back.
But there was other occasions where he didn't tap his bat and his bat was up in the air, and that was the balls he was going to charge.
So, the next day, as soon as he saw no tapping, he threw it out wide and stumped him.
So that's an example of, you know, someone looking for that 1 or 2 percent difference that makes him a great player.

Dear Rahul, Your complaint against Manu Smriti is that it says women must be kept under men's control. Now read this.
Manu Smriti says that women should be under the protection of their fathers during childhood, of their husbands during youth, and of their children in old age. What he said was that women cannot remain independent of such protection.
By saying that women cannot remain independent of such protection did Manu Smriti say women must be controlled? No.
On the contrary, it explicitly argued that they cannot be protected merely by control.
It says, "No man can protect women solely through physical strength. Confining them within the home does not constitute protection; they must protect themselves through their own will and self-restraint" [9.10 & 9.12]
Here Manu Smriti echoes Tamil Saint Thiruvalluvar’s emphasis on self-restraint for women.
Far from controlling women Manu Smriti actually calls for celebration of women. It says
"Where women are honoured, the gods rejoice; where they are not, all sacred rituals become futile" [9.56];
"Fathers, brothers, husbands, and brothers-in-law who desire their own welfare and prosperity should honour women by gifting them ornaments and fine clothing" [9.55];
"If female relatives languish in sorrow, the family will perish completely; where they live free from sorrow, that family will flourish" [9.57].
Now I challenge you Rahul to prove your statement that Manu Smriti demeans women

I honestly don’t know why people are taking the words of an out-of-work, actress with the intelligence of a doorknob. It is clear she is desperate to get back into limelight. Question is, why do people give it to her?

India’s exemplary GDP growth of 7.8% during Q1 of FY 2026-27 is a herculean feat.
The collective strength of our people ensured India delivered such growth despite oil price shocks and supply chain issues in the midst of global uncertainties.

Today, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru @TVKVijayHQ announced in the assembly that the TN Government has decided to cancel the Parandur Airport Project. TN CM mentioned that certain sites are under consideration, but it would have been helpful if he had also proposed a new site for the second airport near Chennai, as the delay in identifying its location has set the state's development back by at least 10 years.
This announcement of the cancellation of the new airport project carries an opportunity cost that the State Government needs to consider carefully. Even if the TN Government chooses to move forward with a second airport instead of Parandur through an administrative decision soon, finding a site, taking approval from the Central Government and statutory bodies, issuing tenders, acquiring land, and securing licenses could take at least ten years before the airport becomes operational. Meanwhile, other States would be advancing, leaving us behind.
We should first accept that the current airport in Chennai is insufficient even by today's standards. Chennai’s airport spans a 1300-acre land parcel; Hyderabad's airport spans approximately 5,500 acres; Bengaluru's spans 4000 acres; Navi Mumbai's is built on 2866 acres; and Delhi airport spans 5100 acres. With such a small space, the current airport in Chennai should ideally offer a better customer experience, but taking local transport from the arrivals area is a nightmare today.
Chennai was once the gateway of South India. Today, Chennai airport ranks 5th in total passenger-handling capacity, with a capacity of 30 million passengers per year. Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are above Chennai on this table. The present Chennai airport is not classified as a Code F airport due to inadequate taxiways and aerobridges, which make landing large aircraft such as the A380 unsuitable at Chennai. In the South, the Bengaluru and Hyderabad airports can handle large aircraft.
Considering the above, I request the TN Govt to accelerate the process of identifying a suitable location for the 2nd airport in Chennai at the earliest, as delays in site identification could push us well beyond 10 years. Parties may come and go. Governments will change. But 20 years later, when the people of Tamil Nadu look back, they should not feel suffocated by a sick building that we would still call an airport, because the administrators of the day lacked the ability to forecast.
Also, in March this year, news reports stated that the TN Govt had acquired 1,700 acres for the Parandur airport project, out of the 5,746 acres needed. What does the State govt now intend to do with this acquired land?
