Sri Lankan Airlines has presented a special outlet at the International Tourism Exhibition which is proceeding in France at this moment in time. This year,the International Tourism Exhibition ; IFTM TOP RESA , will be held from 05th - 08th October of the tourism capital in France
A conference was held at the International Tourism exhibition held in France on 06th October with the participation of Ministers of Egypt, Greece , Jordan , Portugal , Dominican Republic and Mauritius. They discussed various issues confronted by the tourism industry at present.
Air France , one of the renowned Airlines in the world , has agreed to operate direct flights between Sri Lanka and France commencing from November as discussed during the meeting which was held in Paris, France between myself and the Minister of Tourism in France.

A special discussion was held on 08.02.21, under the patronage of the Chairman of the Economic Revival Committee, @basil_rajapaksa. This was regarding the opening of the country to tourism and its progress.

Today (27) I attended the Kandy District Livelihood Development Committee meeting where I identified 506 new Kandy based tourist destinations located in the Kandy District and paid special attention to developing those places as tourist attractions.
