Being invited to peer-review for a journal after a desk rejection at the same journal:
"So you're telling me you don't trust me when i say 'this paper' is good enough for your journal, but you trust me when i say 'that paper' is good enough for your journal?"

One of my lab members just showed me compelling evidence that I suggested contradictory changes in different revisions of a text.
