DON’T disregard an exercise until you’ve drained it completely of all its value. The Elephant Walk is a perfect example of this.

5 years ago, seeing this kind of flexibility was rare. Now we’re seeing it more and more and I’m here for it. Athletes are recognizing the value of developing big ROM not just for the sake of being flexible but for the strength, control, and movement options that come with it.

The demand for this kind of training is only going to grow. Question is, how many coaches know how to deliver it? Clips borrowed from IG • yagoo.guy

It’s pretty wild to think that something I’ve built in my basement in Nova Scotia has now taken me to 7 different countries around the world. Every workshop, every conversation, and every gym that’s welcomed me has helped shape how I teach today.

Seppo Räty didn't just throw javelins, he bent physics. His spine mobility was so extreme that slow-mo looked CGI. He popularized the "Seppo Snatch" - a full-bar sweep behind the back and through again. 100kg like it was warm-up weight. A true legend of range.

You can’t out muscle the splits. You have to out smart them. This setup is gold for beginners and advanced individuals, teaching you how to actually split your legs with strength.

There are 100s of ways you can lift heavy and get strong AF. The burnout and stagnation from doing the same thing is often what leads us to quit. So if you are trying to get back into picking up heavy shit give maybe its time to give your body some old school stimulus.

It does not take countless hours of mobility training outside of strength sessions to get results.

The old school approach to squat mobility? Variety in stance and bar placement. Look back at how squats were built and you’ll notice they weren’t married to one squat stance like most are today.

We spend so much time trying to optimize our squat for performance that we overlook how much we can gain from simply exploring different ways to squat. Sometimes the best mobility work is just getting stronger in positions you don’t normally train.

Your hip flexors feel blocked because they’re looking for more rotation. The Pretzel Hip Flexor position teaches you how to best do this while simultaneously addressing thoracic rotation.

For the first time ever, we spent Thanksgiving apart as a family. But when your son makes the U19 Team Canada Sixes roster and gets the opportunity to represent his country, you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It was incredible to watch Ronin and his teammates take gold!

The World Lacrosse Rivalry Series, beating Team USA in the final. 🔥💪🏼 What made it even more special was getting to experience it alongside my other son Will Not our traditional Thanksgiving, but definitely one for the books. 🇨🇦

I particularly like the potential for releasing tension through the traps while developing body line awareness and strength in an unfamiliar position. Shoutout to IG account qimeridian for sharing their work and showing us these traditions still exist today.
