Abu Ghraib Shocked the World. Brutalization of Palestinians Barely Inspires a Shrug 🔗bit.ly/3SoEaqa So many parallels to the US' war on terror: accusations of torture, dehumanization of captives, flouting of international law, brutality of occupation. Yet, no one of note was held accountable. Remember the outrage over images from Abu Ghraib? For Palestinians? Silence has been deafening. #Gaza #Palestine #WarCrimes

This is where Section 219 of the NDAA comes in. They’re going to transfer all of the aid behind closed doors and cut it from the appropriations process.
President Trump on U.S. aid to Israel: "We were giving them $4 billion. We are. But it gets cut off at the end of the year. Why? Because they don't need it. "Why should we suffer the slings from lunatics like El-Sayed when they don't need it? It's a bad talking point."

President Trump is a serial liar who has announced over $20 billion in weapons giveaways to Israel since taking office and launched a war at Israel’s request that has already cost every US household over $2,000 - the equivalent of $262 billion. He and other politicians realize our taxpayer funding for Israel is a liability. That's why he and his allies in Congress are at this very moment trying to advance legislation to conceal support for Israel by integrating Israeli weapons companies into the Pentagon. Learn more about this bait and switch and why Americans will still be funding Israeli weapons makers in record amounts in our policy memo: imeupolicyproject.org/memos/…

🚨 Israel orders complete closure of Gaza crossing with Egypt, blocking aid and commercial goods A senior Palestinian source involved in negotiations told Drop Site News that Israeli authorities informed the UN and Egyptian committee on Monday evening of a decision to impose a “complete and comprehensive closure” of the Rafah crossing, blocking humanitarian aid, commercial shipments, food, fuel and cooking gas entering Gaza through the Egyptian route. According to the source, Israel cited alleged smuggling and “interference by government bodies in the Gaza Strip” as reasons for the closure. 🔸 The Egyptian route handles approximately 50–60 trucks daily, accounting for “nearly half of the daily supplies entering the Gaza Strip,” the source said, adding that “fuel and gas come entirely through this route.” 🔸 Under the October 2025 ceasefire agreement, 600 aid trucks are supposed to enter Gaza daily, but Israel has severely restricted deliveries, allowing an average of only around 200 trucks per day. 🔸 The closure comes as Palestinians across Gaza face the onset of winter in makeshift tents and heavily damaged homes, with worsening food insecurity compounded by cuts to World Food Programme assistance. 🔸 The source warned that the shutdown could have “direct repercussions on the humanitarian situation and market stability,” driving up prices for fuel, cooking gas, food and other essential goods.

💢 New: The U.S. has secretly carried out strikes against Iran for weeks, including an attack on Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, U.S. officials told The Wall Street Journal. The report contradicts Trump’s claim Monday that “we haven’t been doing any fighting for months.” One official said Washington has deliberately kept the campaign quiet to avoid signaling a return to major combat operations. Some officials characterized the strikes as defensive, aimed at preventing Iranian attacks on commercial ships. Fars reported explosions on Iran’s Qeshm Island Monday, with residents in Bandar Abbas also reporting hearing them.

Breaking my own rule and writing a Twitter essay... Two days before the midterms, Haley Stevens, the beneficiary of AIPAC’s record-setting $30 million in her primary, appeared with Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers at Perfecting Church in Detroit where she claimed that Rogers would “take on” investing in Black-owned businesses. She then endorsed him. This attempted ratfuck is galling for any number of reasons, but what disgusts me most is the willingness of these genocidal white politicians to use Black voters as human shields for their racism against Abdul El-Sayed. Rogers has run one of the most racist Senate campaigns this century, and yet, Stevens is now climbing aboard while ostensibly professing concern for Black voters. This is an instructive moment in understanding why Zionists must be purged from the party: as believers in a supremacist project themselves, they view Black voters as a faction to be weaponized, not as constituents who deserve genuine representation. They are saboteurs in the broader fight for racial justice. A belief in an ethnostate sustained through apartheid, force, genocide, and domination is fundamentally incompatible with an anti-fascist, anti-racist coalition. Good luck browbeating the Democratic electorate into supporting some pro-Israel corporate centrist in the 2028 presidential election after this saga.

The Rogers spokesperson you see starting this press conference is Abby Ronson. She is currently registered as a foreign agent for the state of Israel, according to @DropSiteNews reporting today

Tucker Carlson: “Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran… Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. ‘Bibi calls Trump about it every day,’ says an informed observer.”
Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

Just last month, DoorDash couldn’t seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas — until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties. This week, they’ve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors. Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers. We’ve stood up to these giants before. That doesn’t stop now.

A devastating 2 1/2 minutes. From a purely political perspective, Obama seems to be in his bag. Don't think I've seen anyone distill how much of a joke Trump is to such a degree.
“They mobilized a whole of government response to my joke. Not to inflation. To a joke.”
