jessica is treated as a reward for Morty and something that he is entitled to because he’s sad and lonely and needs to be supported, which is fine because we (supposedly) identify with him, but is that not exactly what rick hates jerry for “doing” to beth?

You’d think with both Brad and Jessica’s roles in pivotal season 1 episodes they’d have a wider importance, but Jessica only appears in Season 2 to be Morty’s complacent army candy with no mention of Brad. Morty’s conception of jessica also doesn’t develop past her as a concept
