Of all the things heβs on record saying, I think about these words the most. RIP DMX.

After months of stalling, Google finally revealed how much personal data they collect in Chrome and the Google app. No wonder they wanted to hide it.

Spying on users has nothing to do with building a great web browser or search engine. We would know (our app is both in one).
You know what would send some real signal to Apple right now? Just don't watch the keynote. Imagine what they'd think if the numbers were even 3/4 or 2/3 of the expected viewers?
Looking forward to the QA on discord @mpigliucci is doing at 2:30 ET. Info is here: meetup.com/52LivingIdeas/eveβ¦
As an American traveling between the Czech Republic and Germany, this isn't how I was hoping to be accommodated. π€ͺ We appreciated the drink cart all the same. π»
On top of the world in Prague with the wonderful @sandikbarr. No one I'd rather go on adventures or get into trouble with than her.
Spreading @BarCampOmaha's message of friendship from the East-Side Berlin Wall!

Damn, @mipsytipsy does not mince words! One of the most enjoyable podcast episodes I've listened to in a while. Really refreshing to hear someone really speaking their mind and give a glimpse of how acquisitions can go wrong. Also, sparkles :) softwareengineeringdaily.comβ¦
Longtime fan w/ question: @ChrisLAS you mentioned having found virtualization nirvana on Coder Radio a few months ago. Is there an overview of your approach/system? I'd love to know more. I'm on a MacBook but curious about other options. Alway enjoyed hearing you on the show.
One of the advantages to waiting a year to upgrade macOS is that most of the kinks have been worked out. Jump to Mojave was pretty painless and my dev environment still worked right away! Catalina is going to be a much rougher leap with its changes to security and compatibility.
Doing the annual dance of upgrading my Macs to the current macOS before the next version drops becoming the only upgrade path. I've never regretted not being on the latest. Most of their new features are platform lock-in rather than actual must-haves. The bugs are real, though.
Leaned on iCloud Drive to upload and share some tracks friends and I made in GarageBand. They're on tour & want backing tracks. All @apple software & Apple IDs. In DropBox, you drag it into a shared folder and you're done. Sharing via iCloud? Apple has a loooong way to go.
Yikes: @plex pushed out an update to the server that died with a Sparkle signing error and one for their client app that crashed after updating. Hope your day goes better than theirs must be going.
