It's a shame path tracing is completely borked in Phantom Blade Zero on 2080 Ti; apart from the visual bugs, it's playable at 1440p DLSS performance.

why do gemini agents periodically exhibit some sort of superhuman insight then go back to being generally stupid

Got inspired by @TechYESCity's September parts hunt where he picked up a 2060 founders edition and grabbed a 2080 ti FE of my own. Snagged it for 1000 AED ($272), how'd I do? :D

Gemini 4 Argon is insanely cracked at powerpoints and excel. Mogs tf out Opus 5.5 and 6.1 Sol IMO

alrighty switch 2 emulation up and running!! Floodgates are open let's see how far the community takes this before the hammer inevitably falls

thoughts on using local AI for subagents? I've been using gemini 4 argon via antigravity with qwen 3.8 flash local running on my strix halo box as a subagent and unless I'm falling prey to placebo effect, it's really helping extend my usage limits

I'm really liking Gemini 4 argon. Very determined, hard working model. Reminds me of gpt 5.5 xhigh

Kinda funny to see local AI reaching the "shitty chinesium x99 combo" stage that budget gaming crossed 10 years ago Wonder when we'll start hearing about Turbo Boost Unlock and unlocked multiplier v3 Xeons from Local AI bros :D
Has anyone ever tried to max out these niche multi-CPU motherboards for AI inference? They should be MoE-model powerhouses hidden in plain sight! I'm very surprised that they are so cheap If anyone has tried please let me know 🙏

Ray Regeneration coming to more games 👀
As a lifelong gamer, I think deeply about how to make gaming better and more accessible for everyone across consoles, desktops, laptops, handhelds, and the developers who build the games. We power over a billion gaming devices around the world. It’s a responsibility we care deeply about. Today, five drops. 1) FSR 4.1 is coming to Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards. Tuned and optimized from the 6900 series down to the 6400 class. For the first time, FSR 4.1 is coming to APUs. 2) All Gorgon Halo and Strix Halo for your mini desktops and mobile workstations. 3) All Gorgon and Strix Ryzen 9 for your laptops. 4) All Z2E and Z2A for your handhelds and for gamers on the go. 5) FSR 4.1 is coming to @XBOX. Optimized for @ASUS_ROG Xbox handhelds and Xbox Series X | S. We’re still building. FSR Redstone is now in more than 400 games on Radeon 9000 series graphics cards. FSR Frame Generation gets more consistent frame pacing, for smoother gameplay. Ray Regeneration is coming to more games. And soon, FSR is coming to Vulkan. Another way for developers to bring it into their games. And don’t worry, we are working hard to bring FSR to more APUs in the future. Enjoy!

As exciting as 2026 has been for emulation and cracking DRMs, I fear that it's only going to hasten the demise of game ownership. Sony's looking at this and wondering why sell consoles at all, when they could just lock their titles to cloud gaming and kill emulation/piracy.

WAAAAH!!! Somebody ported my favorite game to PC but they used AI to do it in a few months as opposed to 5 years!!! WAAAAHHHHH!!! I want to play my favorite game on PC but I refuse to play this one that's available to me because people used AI to make it available to me much faster than it would normally take to do so!!!!! WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Nobody else is doing a manual recomp of the game and the only recomp I can play is the one made using AI so I refuse to play my favorite game!!!! WAH!!! WAAAH!!!! WWWWWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I'm starting to become extremely tired of these vibecoded game recomps, every single day I'm seeing a new one and this one irritated me enough. A native PC port of Wind Waker (and by extension Skyward Sword) would be amazing, but this garbage low-effort approach is not it.
