Thanks to my partner from last night, @rta3569, for pointing out our fantastic view right before kickoff.
Been broadcasting games a long time (30+ years). It’s easy to take for granted, but it’s a wonderful side gig and each game is the opportunity to experience something new.
Many thanks to JJ Wade and the @cloverathletics team for hosting our @iscsportsnet broadcast crew tonight. The hospitality was superb.

Sitting at the gate in Edinburgh Airport, savoring a final one of these. (I’ve become addicted to these sodas and the fully leaded versions aren’t available in the US; something about the FDA, blah blah…)
Scotland is a magical place, people. If you’ve never been, do so asap.
Superb final full day in Edinburgh. Learned about Wojtek (a Polish bear WW 2 war hero, wild story - look it up!) from our new Polish friend and explored Edinburgh Castle. Last pic is the interior of St. Margaret Chapel, on the Castle grounds. Built during the 12th century.
Began the day on the east coast of the Isle of Skye in Portree, and ended it back in Edinburgh, ending our four days with Alan, a prince of a man and our guide for the last four days.
Scottish Guided Tours is a first-class outfit. Highly recommend.
Doune Castle…
If you close your eyes, you can see Graham Chapman in full gallop, with Terry Gilliam clopping coconuts close behind.

A day of adventure on the Isle of Skye. Some spitting rain, winds gusting up to 60 mph. The scenery remains breathtaking.
Another amazing day. Made our way west to the Isle of Skye, stopping for the night in the harbor village of Portree.
The scenery…my goodness.
Fantastic day making our way from Edinburgh, through the Highlands, to Inverness on the northeast coast.
There is a UK equivalent of a convenience store across from our hotel, and I’ve been drinking this in steady supply.
It’s the second-most popular drink in Scotland (next to whisky). Even though it’s an orange soft drink, it tastes like bubble gum.
Fantastic atmosphere at Tynecastle Park today. First-class effort from @JamTarts, as they battered St. Mirren 5-0. We had a cracking time.
You’re looking live at Tynecastle Park, home of @JamTarts. The home side takes on St. Mirren, as the Scottish Premier League resumes after the break. Kick at 3 BST.
My best girl alongside, Stone Roses on the pregame p.a., and UK football on a Saturday. Doesn’t get much better.
Five hours in Edinburgh and I’m already mesmerized.
The last photo is of Adam Smith, for my guy @crimsonace, although I don’t think Smith became the father of economics because he wore a traffic cone on his head.
