Because he swung. Period. The call was correct and it would be blatantly obvious from both dugouts.
Genuine question: if you’re Kevin Cash, why are you not immediately out of the dugout right in that umpire’s grill? There’s no way MLB suspends you for game 3 for defending your team in that spot, right? Diaz can’t because as a player, you’d probably get a suspension, but as a manager, where’s the fire? I wanna see him flying out of the dugout immediately chewing that umpire out.
Watch Contreras trying to make Caminero feel him inside so he thinks he’s getting a fastball in that’s left over the plate. Speeds him up a bit and helps create the chase.
Good to see @Big12Conference officiating couldn’t save BYU two weeks in a row.
Big XII officials embarrassing themselves out here two weeks in a row to keep BYU undefeated. Embarrassing.
In all reality, managing the baseball stuff of a MLB game is pretty simple for anyone with a true understanding. It’s managing 26+ different humans and getting them to be the best versions of themselves that’s difficult. Managing a clubhouse is wayyy harder than managing a game.
The Rays are batting .500 in the World Series and the Brewers are batting 1.000 and it’s scoreless. Don’t tell me batting average matters!!!
Yesssss!!!! Also there should be 30 Daniel Murphy’s to help every booth in MLB.
I mean…..they should work together not replace each other. Very and too general but…..
Analytics dept: “these types of players are undervalued and we can win with these types of players.”
Scouting dept: “ok we can find guys who are/can be great at those things.”

You’ll never get people to agree. They’ll scream from the rooftops about not making enough money and corporations getting rich off them and then turnaround and complain about the MLBPA fighting for the same concepts just because it’s a much bigger check.
Replying to @KodyDuncanPGH
Soto and Harper are underpaid. That’s Boras’ fight.
Poll ownership and see if they want to pay the superstar’s anything near what they are worth. The length of the contract is a tool to keep AAV down.
Keep shillin’
Guys, no one is suggesting batting average isn’t important. It’s just less important than, and a smaller piece of, OPS. Naturally a higher BA should be better than a lower BA as it’ll contribute to a higher OPS provided it doesn’t negatively impact slugging. We’d all love….
It’s just understanding that there are a lot more variables that you must consider. Everyone is pointing to the top two BA teams being in the World Series but let’s look at it this way. I think we’d all agree the goal of offense is to score runs. If we can’t agree on that….
A lot of amateurs will try to read but they’re so slow to the plate you can just wait till they get to the top of their lift before you go. Would time guys from that point in college and they’d still be 1.6. No need to go 1st move.
