I read a book! The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas (1846)
It starts off with a bang! I’m a sucker for stories of injustice & imprisonment. It’s a slower pace afterwards but it remains interesting & quite readable throughout. Now I need to rewatch the Wishbone version.
I watched a TV show! Good Girls S4 (2021)
This show’s thing is making crises appear and disappear at the drop of a hat, just don’t think too hard about whether it all makes sense or not. Still, I enjoyed watching the show. Happy to see a Weekend at Bernies cast reunion too.

A stunning late 70s advert for Jovan Sex Appeal aftershave, animated by the late Richard Williams, was based on the Frank Frazetta painting 'Against the Gods'. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Are lightning bugs not a thing anymore?? I mean I’ve never seen them in Japan but I assumed they didn’t have them by me.

I watched a show! Good Girls S3 (2020)
S2 sort of went off the rails for me & in a lot of ways S3 seems to realize that and pretend the federal case that was about to crush them all season never happened. S3 is more grounded & watchable but not great. I like Matthew Lillard.
