The kind of problems we face at OS3:
All our robots got deployed, and we had to build more the night of demo day
Looking forward to showing everyone today!
Choosing Hard Problems in Life
I keep choosing hard things.
I am a serial marathon runner. I got into running during COVID, when the gyms were closed, and what started small grew into bigger and bigger challenges. Three miles became five. Five became 10. Before I knew it, I was running 26.2.
Last year, I decided to run the Oakland Marathon just one week before the race. Lo and behold, it was my best time ever: 3 hours, 12 minutes. I do not run marathons because they are easy. I run them because I get a deep sense of satisfaction from accomplishing what once seemed impossible.
That mentality applies not just to running, but also to my day-to-day work. Maybe some of it comes from growing up in a family that has been building hard tech since the 1970s.
Earlier this year, my cofounder @risos8200 and I went all in on robotics. We wanted to work on something that adds real value to the world, and robotics felt like the obvious choice given our backgrounds. It was a natural fit, but also an extraordinarily difficult one.
We learned CAD, CNC machining, laser cutting, and actuator assembly on the fly. In other words, we were building the plane while flying it. We burned our hands on solder while replacing motor parts, crushed our fingers while testing new wheels, and stayed up until 5 a.m. on many nights talking with multiple suppliers to build the best possible supply chain in terms of availability and cost.
Within just four months, that persistence bore fruit. We built, from the ground up, a general-purpose, semi-humanoid robot using our own designs and hardware. We also trained our own video-action model. This is the kind of work that often takes labs years, millions of dollars, and entire teams.
Many people may think running 26.2 miles has nothing to do with building robots. To me, they exercise the same muscle. Both are about choosing something hard, accepting that it will hurt, and refusing to stop before the finish line.
More than anything else, what brings Rishabh and me together is our willingness to dive into something new and uncertain, and our ability to grind through the hardest parts until we see it through.
That is the kind of company we are building at @os3robotics: one that chooses hard problems, sees them through, and aims to change how society functions.

Cool robot demos at YC!
@os3robotics @ycombinator
The greatest accelerator, both literally and figuratively.
Applications for the YC Winter 2026 batch are now open!

+1 to this.
I remember before even getting into YC, past alumni we knew were more than eager to give us mock interviews, feedback, and advice.
The cycle of help begins before you even get into YC, and I aim to do the same for others.
The YC community is better than I ever could’ve imagined.
People love to shit on YC and act like we’re all like the loudest among us online, but thats not representative of the group.
The willingness to help each other and the immediate connection when you meet another YC founder is like nothing I’ve ever experienced.
Way more than any sorority, school, etc.
