He lost his cool at a gas station and said “Fck Israel,” “Fck the Israel lobby,” and “Free Palestine.”
That’s it.
He later clarified the rant was aimed at the Israeli government, not Jewish people.
Say “Fck America” in the same parking lot and you get a ticket for disorderly conduct at most. Say “Fck Israel” and suddenly it’s a hate crime enhancer that can land you a year in jail.
Criticizing a foreign government’s policies is not a hate crime.
Treating one country as untouchable while every other nation on earth is fair game is the actual slippery slope.
The First Amendment doesn’t come with an Israel exception.
