The present moment is a gift, that's why it's called a present.
And you can accept this gift and the joy it brings at any moment you desire.

$900 a year for occasional lounge access ain't it. I don't fly that often and when I do it's usually international with a proper lounge.

No waitlist and not having to sit on the floor would be a good start...

Amex Platinum is a terrible points earning card... The worst in the industry.
I have never found much benefit to the hotel status anyways, any of them. It doesn't do much for me.

I have the sapphire reserve which is significantly better for my use. Never looked into the venture

A card with good points earning. But even for a premium travel card Sapphire Reserve is much better for me.

As hot as it goes. For an infrared probably 149? Dry sauna goes 180+ so it shouldn't be a problem at all.
I'd shoot for 20 minutes but it's one of those things you just know. No reason to push. It shouldn't be terribly uncomfortable. A nice sweat, feel good, a little uncomfort is normal, but not torture!
I leave the phone outside. Just music or audiobook. The mental escape can be as healthy as the heat...

I never fly Delta. They don't have much going on for me down here.
Dumped Amex Platinum last year.
Garbage product.
The airport lounges are awful.
We hit up a regular airport bar/restaurant or even just an empty gate to chill at.
It's infinitely better than the putting your name on a waitlist for access to the Amex homeless shelter.
I’m done with @AmericanExpress platinum card. It was worth $900 a year when you could get into lounges with it. There was some exclusivity.
Now every low class reject gets in. An hour waitlist and then when you finally get in, it’s people on speakerphone, screaming, acting like it’s a Carnival cruise.
Amex has been enshittified. I’ll save my 895 bucks a year.

Nothing. We need more. We may never be able to build enough compute.

Premium long haul is quite decent. It usually what I look for first nowadays when comparing award flights, especially with Air France as they often have killer deals on it.

No, the BA biz class layout. It's atrocious.

Have you seen the British Airways one? It can't be worse

Not anymore. I'm kind of over it. But I guess 12 hours might be where I'd consider it again. These 8 hour or so flights, I'm fine with whatever. I zone out.

Same for loss and gain, praise and blame...
It's about equinimity.
