I was off from X for a while, during which a few things, happy things, have happened. First and foremost, Charlie passed his PhD viva succesfully. Thank you @Emjewls and @ChemistClancy! Second, we got our second @LeverhulmeTrust research grant in May. it's about K-S batteries,
Very happy to have this review paper out in Adv. Mater. @AdvSciNews @Wiley_Chemistry. A great team work between @UCLChemistry @uclmaps and @QiongCai_EnM3 @UniOfSurrey. Metal anodes/ #batteries are challenging but fun to work on. More work to come!

A little bit late posting for #Christmas2024. The first bowling event of the group last month. All happy faces and a lovely bunch👏👏👏 Phote credited to Precious.
First time going to the conference and also being a committee member of SSCG. Please register and this will be fun!
RSC Solid-State Chem Group @SscgR Christmas Meeting (16-17 Dec), preceded by the ECR Meeting (15-16 Dec) at @UoBChemistry - registration and abstract submission now open!🎄🎄🎄
Register & submit via the links at sscg.uk/2024-sscg-christmas-… See you in Birmingham soon! Please share 🙂
Had a great visit to my friend @LeitingZhang at @UU_University. First time in Sweden! Landed in Berlin minutes ago and heading to the next research visit to @HZBde. Oh good old Berlin/Germany. Never thought it’d become such an important part of my personal and professional life.
Feeling like a kid getting his new year's new clothes @UCLChemistry! It was a 2-year project @ElsevierConnect and has the contributions from many of my good friends and briliant fellow researchers in the field all over the world. This book wouldn't be the same without you! 👇
@lppnam2403 Kevin Ryan @nanoresearchul @NeerajChemUNSW @loroik @YiyingWu4 Min Zhou, Bingan Lu, Yuhan Wu, Dengyun Zhai, Chenglin Zhang, Jinkui Feng, Pengcheng Liu, Yujie Zhu. A good jumping point to learn about K-based #Battery (K-ion, K-S/Se, K-O2, K metal)!
Applications to MSc Materials for Energy and Environment at @UCLChemistry has just opened! Come join us in London and take on a master's program in a vibrant and supportive department. We offer world-class teaching and research and *wait for it* a 5-MONTH long research project
that is fully embedded in our research teams! If you are interested in energy materials and environment relevant topics, if you want to learn transferrable skills, and if you want to have a fresh taste of doing research, look no further!
Get in touch with me (as the program director) if you have any questions. 👇

Hot off the press! Does MoS2 store K-ion only through reducing Mo4+? No!
Find out a dual redox reaction involving Mo cationic and S anionic electrochemistry of K storage in MoS2 in our recent paper in ACS Mater. Lett. @ACSPublications @UCLChemistry
