Asking questions at the end of an interview is vital. But I'm not always motivated because I'm: • exhausted from the interview • afraid to ask bad questions • suddenly unable to remember any That's why I have a list ready to go before each interview: buff.ly/3AXaJRf

A recruiter told me that someone like me, an English major who went to a coding bootcamp, doesn’t make 120k so I should be grateful & accept an offer as junior dev making below average $$. Well, today I started my new job as a senior dev making my targeted salary!✌️#WomenWhoCode

It's amazing how well it works to just not name a number first. And then when they do give a number, ask for more. That's pretty much the bulk of it!

Last week, my team did a "focus week". This meant we got to do mob/ensemble/team programming for 25+ hours in a single week. Some of the things we/I learned in the process. A short thread on #MobProgramming #EnsembleProgramming

It's soooo hard to land that first tech job these days. I'm at a loss for what more to tell those looking to break in. Can you share your story here of how you landed that first tech job?

We need to start normalizing that software engineering can be a 9-to-5 job. It's ok to not live, eat, and breathe tech 24/7. It's ok to be in tech bc it's a lucrative job that pays the bills. You don't need to be passionate about tech to be in tech.

Someone just texted me saying “Don’t negotiate offers and run the risk of losing them”. This person knows I’m the queen of negotiating and they still said this. So I know some of y’all have probably heard similar. So I just want to say, DON’T TAKE THIS ADVICE. Always negotiate.
