New blog post: Building a Fiber-Based Job System from Scratch. I walk through how I built the fiber-based job system in my offline renderer, including scheduling, synchronization, and the design choices behind it. agraphicsguynotes.com/posts/…

Never heard of the term 'wonk' until I read this paper on the XYZ and xyY color spaces which mentions it several times. Apparently it's a synonym for geek or nerd. You never know when you'll learn something new. haralick.org/DV/CIE_XYZ.pdf

John Wallis died 323 years ago today. He devised this beautiful formula for π in 1655.

I'm a massive fan of the series, so sad to see Bioware end like this and gutted we won't see a new Mass Effect game
A former BioWare employee uploaded this Mass Effect Universe (Mass Effect 5) trailer on Reddit! According to another employee, this trailer was ready a few months ago. #MassEffect

Say what you want about AI, the Uncharted decompilation for PC is an incredible thing, inconceivable just months ago. I just tried it and it's like playing a native port

Charles-Alfred Leclerc built this beautiful neo-Renaissance style bell tower in 1883. It was 143 years old and they burnt it down in an afternoon. All the time, the maintenance, the craftsmanship that went into it: What an insult to all of France, and indeed Europe itself.

A day in 1960s London. A helpful policeman, hats, ties and tailored suits, classic red buses, waiter service, a drink in the pub, and glowing neon lights with delightful music especially composed by the wonderful @KateGarnerMusic.
