Plant dyes - all the colours achievable from leaf, flower and root within around a five mile radius. The red hot poker root was a gift from a friend on Skye but that’s only several miles across the water…

This seems perfectly normal behaviour to me.
went to visit a friend who’s a ceramicist and works in a studio with no phone signal in a tiny yorkshire village. he doesn’t listen to podcasts or music, only occasionally uses the radio, and when I asked him what he thinks about all day he just said “well, pots mostly”

Independent retail is a precious thing. This is Ooshke in Kyle of Lochalsh, beside the Skye bridge. I’m so happy they stock my work alongside other makers of ceramics, knitwear and contemporary jewellery.

I should add, if you can’t visit in person they have a lovely website: ooshke.shop

Something new to share. Project bags. For knitting, crochet, crafts and travel. This style is handy for works in progress as the frame stays locked and stable when open. Several now listed on my website.

Today I found my first seabean. This seed has travelled a long way to reach #Shetland. Starting it's journey in a tropical forest, travelling with ocean currents and washing up in our first autumn storms. A little piece of luck and joy as daylight fades and winter approaches. – at Sandwick, Scotland
