This is abuse. I’m pissed off watching this again years later.
Watch Mary Kay Letourneau pressure the boy she sexually abused—now her husband—to take responsibility for HER actions.
“Who was the boss?
Who was the boss back then?!”
“This is ridiculous,” Vili says.
“This is getting weird.”
She keeps pushing.
He was 12 when the abuse began. She was his TEACHER. She stole his innocence, and years later she’s still trying to make him responsible.
“Oh, well, flaw me.”
Flaw you? You sexually abused a CHILD. You should have been locked up for life.
And where was the protective instinct of the women who gave her a pass? How did their sympathy land with HER?
This was normalized through “forbidden love” headlines, wedding coverage and endless media attention.
His abuse became entertainment. Their marriage was packaged as a happy ending.
He never owed her—or anyone—a defense of what she did.
Shame on anyone that encouraged this.
She was an abusive piece of shit.
And good on that interviewer for saying what he did. @7NewsAustralia

In 2000, a 52-year-old woman flew to Chicago to be on Jerry Springer because she believed it would bring her ex-husband back to her. She thought it was a reunion. On stage, with the audience jeering, she found out he had married someone else. She kept her composure and walked off. The day the episode aired, he killed her.
According to the video, Nancy Campbell-Panitz never wanted to be on TV. Her ex-husband Ralf Panitz applied.
In the video below is the moment Nancy hears from Ralf that he married Eleanor. The episode was called "Secret Mistresses Confronted." Eleanor went out first and told the audience Nancy was stalking them. Then Nancy walked out into the boos. Ralf kissed Eleanor on the lips and Nancy on the cheek. Her answer when he told her: "That's fine. Bye."
Years earlier, according to the video, she had told a judge: "I do believe he will kill me." After the taping, she got home alone on a bus, and no one from the show called to check on her.
On the day it aired, a judge barred Ralf from living in her house. He reportedly watched the episode in a bar. Hours later Nancy was dead.
Ralf fled to Maine with Eleanor and surrendered days later.
A jury found him guilty of second-degree murder. He got life. The judge asked the show's producers: "Are ratings more important than the dignity of human life?" The show kept airing for 16 more years.
Did the show get Nancy killed, or was Ralf always going to do it?

“Again” was released in 2000 as the only previously unreleased track from Lenny Kravitz’s Greatest Hits album. Written, arranged and produced entirely by Kravitz, the emotional rock ballad became one of his biggest commercial successes, reaching #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 while topping both the Adult Top 40 and Mainstream Top 40 charts. It also became a major international hit, reaching #1 in Italy and the Top 10 in several other countries. The song earned Kravitz a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance in 2001, marking his third consecutive win in the category.
The song's music video was notable for being among the earliest major music videos made available for online download. Kravitz would go on to make Grammy history the following year, when “Dig In” earned him his fourth consecutive Best Male Rock Vocal Performance award in 2002.

‘The Next 50 Years’ aired 35 Years ago today. Scott accidentally shoots himself & dies at his own birthday party. This episode is just as heartbreaking today as it was in 1991.
